He's already on 5 million if I'm not mistaken - he'd be expecting a salary increase. Our midfield is absolute garbage, so being an improvement isn't really much of an achievement. Also, Shitzinski would be 30 by the time next season comes around. I'd much rather go for Samardzic - he's younger, would come on lower wages, and he's potentially a much better player.
Potentially much better player based on what? Zielinski has been great for several seasons now. He's not a top player and probably will never be but he would be an instant upgrade.

Hopefully Szczęsny and Milik can convince him to join us :xfingers:

Personally I never understood why he stayed so long in Naples, he is a good player who could have aimed for a much better club for several years (every summer there was the Liverpool rumor).
I don't know what they are doing in Trashland, probably his wife was taken hostage or he received threats for staying there for so long.

Technically he is a very fine, complete player, who has strong experience in Serie A, and who has remained an indisputable starter all these years in Naples despite the inherent pressure around this club.

For me I repeat it's a big yes, with Rabiot it would make a solid second player in the middle.

Kenan Yildiz is frustrated with his situation at Juventus. He has played 0 minutes since the International break.

Everything is possible including loan and permanent transfer.

I haven't seen any Lyon matches this year but the general opinion of the fans he is very disappointing.

Between a player who likes to watch himself play and jihad ball it can make a strange mix.
lyon must be a terrible place for most footballers at the moment. what i've seen from cherki was promising to say the least. we don't have this type of player at all.

dunno about his mentality though. if he's a dumb mental midget then move on of course.

This is the philosophy and economic model of this club: form young player, make them play so that they gain value then sell them to the biggest European clubs. The Lyon academy is one of the best in the world: Lacazette, Tolisso, Fekir, Aouar, Caqueret, Umtiti, Lukeba, Barcola, Umtiti, Cherki, Kalulu, Malo Gusto, Martial... Before the arrival of the Qataris, Lyon was the best club in France combining an Academy and the acquisition of the best players in league 1. The investment in the new stadium and the purchases of players which cost a fortune for industrial failures. (Gourcuff, paid 400K euros injured a match out of 2 and left for free, all Lille players who were frauds Bastos, Makoun, Bodmer, Mendes, Kone, Keita.. all failures and 110 M thrown out of the windows..).

The consequence is that the club has had to tighten its belt, focus even more on young players and players of lesser quality, the level of requirements has mechanically lowered in this club. Young players now only think about their own interests, that's why Aouar left for free, Barcola did a professional season and decided to go to PSG... Can we ultimately blame him, the club only considers them only as accounting assets.
Cherki is the most precocious, the most gifted of the young player like Ben Arfa was at one time. From the start he negotiated short contracts with the club because he knows he is in a strong position. He showed his talent last year, he was inconsistent , but he started to establish himself on the team and show some promising things with Lacazette. This year could have been a confirmation but just a disaster, you cannot recruit because Textor is a fraud, you sell Lukeba and Barcola while the championship has started, in 4 months it will be the 3rd different coach...fortunately there is a system of play-off for relegations otherwise we are heading straight towards Ligue 2 follow in the footsteps of Schalke 04, Deportivo...

He is a central player only, either attacking midfielder or 2nd attacker, given the rigidity of the jihad ball this team will never play in 4-2-3-1 nor in 4-4-2. He keeps the ball too much wanting to make the difference on his own, while the Taliban wants a quick transition game in attack. The only way he succeeds is to show extraordinary qualities, forcing Allegri to adapt and make the team play for him, he can't do it in Lyon, I don't see how he will get here, too young too shortcomings at the moment
