He's already on 5 million if I'm not mistaken - he'd be expecting a salary increase. Our midfield is absolute garbage, so being an improvement isn't really much of an achievement. Also, Shitzinski would be 30 by the time next season comes around. I'd much rather go for Samardzic - he's younger, would come on lower wages, and he's potentially a much better player.
