I think he’ll actually do just fine in the EPL with his work rate and defensive abilities. I was watching the Manu game yesterday and it was mind boggling how tactically and technically inept the #4 and #5 in the league are. It’s in a slower and more tactical league like Serie A where his deficiencies show more.

bentancur has concentration lapses and is rubbish when under pressure. never seen him do a long ball or a forward pass. does not assist or score goals.
Only good at anticipating passes and recoving the ball somewhat.

Don’t understand the idea of playing hardball over Bentancur. 20m is a fair price and a bonus would make it great, just forget the clause there’s nothing we can change about it.

Matri was a relatively big one given where we were at that point and that he was doing well for Cagliari.

Big winter transfers are usually only for teams that are struggling or covering a major injury issue, so makes sense why we haven't done any in a while, and why we would do one now.

Bentancur is a liability as he can do good things but he like you said, has a concentration problem.
He also is a poor passer IMO

Bentacur wouldn't have any problem to play on EPL , he has great stamina and can run , unlike Arthur.
