I noticed him when following Rovella. He didn't stand out, but you can see there is potential He has a good physique, and is pretty good defensively. Lacks something offensively, but can play on both sides (good with both legs). I think(hope) this is Alex Sandros last season with us, and since we also need to upgrade both our attack and midfield, I wouldn't mind if we take a chance on him. I think we can get him pretty cheap. We seem to have a good relationship with Genoa, and they will most likely be playing in Serie B next season. Maybe we can even get him on loan. Then we have 2 young LBs with potential, and hopefully one of them will become good enough. If not, then upgrade the LB spot next summer.
Mweh .. We have Pellegrini and he won't be a superb back. Cambiaso is the same story, won't reach top level. Decent back, especially defensively but I think in the modern footbal backs need to overtake wingers to create 'one man more' situations. Cambiaso doesn't.

Top back + Pellegrini would be enough if we hold on De Sciglio. De Sciglio is this season pretty good and can play on both sides. I would like him to stay the next seasons.

I personally also don't think that Pellegrini will become a top back, but he is "only 22", so hope that I might be wrong. Italians mature pretty late, so maybe there is still a chance. Same with Cambiaso, he is only 21. I just looked at Spinazzola stats, and it looks like he was around 23 before he got his chance in Serie A with Atalanta. I think Genoa will go down this year, so I think we can get him on loan. I am pretty sure this will be Alex Sandros last season. If we keep De Sciglio, then we would have him, Pellegrini and Cambiaso for the LB position. I would be okay with that for one season, if it means we upgrade midfield and attack this summer. I doubt we can also afford a top back this summer, with all the money we have spend for upgrading the midfield and attack. But if we have the money, then of course I also would prefer a top back.

Vlahovic would want to go right away to Juventus. With the club he found a 5-yr agreement for 6mln + 1 bonus. Now he's only waiting for Commisso to either accept or not the juve offer of sixty million euros. (Marcello Chirico)

On Guimaraes, president Aulas isn’t open for a loan with an obligation. For Juve, he is still the first choice in case of Arthur's departure, but a 45mln offer will be needed to get him. Intermediaries at work, it remains difficult but not impossible.(Morik_92)

irrelevant semantics. If he was incompetent he wouldn’t have been trusted again by the same family.
Quite the opposite actually. Family run firms typically reward incompetence and don’t bring in outsiders (who bring new ideas and change). But when the business is failing and needs capital injection they have no choice but to seek external investors who then take up board seats. Then you see the legacy dolts be quietly told to go away. This is the typical lifecycle of most firms.
