I’m not going to hold my breath that we are gonna spend 60-70 mil on Vlahovic even in summer. I hope we do, but we shall see. Gotta sell some deadwood that no sane manager would want, so that’s an issue too.

By far our biggest issue..until we clean out I can't see us splashing big no matter how much we need it. Hence the compromise like scamacca instead of vlahovic.
Our recent list of freebies joining haven't been great, but there are decent players available out there who can help us improve the team. If they choose the right ones then just maybe we can land one big signing.

Imo whoever signs Scamacca will be playing him quite a lot. There's no way he and his agent would allow sitting on the bench during that age.
I know he's really hyped but I do wonder if he's worth being starting material. To me it seems one of those signings we'd pass on just so we can chase him in the future for 90mln. I also doubt it'd be possible to sign him and loan him for 1 or 2 years. So whoever sings him he'll stick there for years I think. I doubt clubs outside of Italy will chase him, so we're surely one of the highest possibilities.
However, I think Vlahovic is a much better option. I still think we'll see Vlahovic go somewhere and then Scamacca going to Fiorentina to be their Toni.

Is Scamacca even good? He’s 22, has 5 goals so far this season… is he even an upgrade on Kean? 
Anyway we are not in the situation we have enough quality and just hope for an opportunity. We are currently in a different place where we should get someone who can definitely give us what we need. In that sense it would be stupid on our part to get him as the funds should definitely go for Vlahovic...
Rabiot is talented but it seems his talent refuse to burst forward.
Arthur is talented but he can barely breath let alone play football.
McK is also a player with potential so I say enough with "has potential" and start bring the real deal so we can improve.
We can then use the has potential to improve the team but first we need to have a good team.
We need to do what we have done with Conte.
When Conte arrived he kicked every underperforming player from the team and got a whole new team.
Im not saying we need a new team completely but we do need to kick out whoever plays subpar.
Instead of naming who we should get rid of it would be easier to do the opposite and in this regard we should keep:
Bonucci - Has low transfer value and even if we dont like him he is useful
MDL - Unless we get a really high transfer fee
Chiellini - Obvious reasons
Cuadrado - One of the only performing players
Danilo - Unless we receive a serious bid.
Locatelli - The only functioning midfielder
Chiesa - Despite him being off form lately and now the injury... We can definitely make use of him. If we get a 100M bid like reported in the past - We should take it.
Woj - Unless we can get someone better on the cheap but I think we could and should have done something last summer. Right now the situation is different so we should keep him.
The rest need to be given the boot as they either not performing like Rabiot or constantly injured like Dybala.
There are also the ones who are either injured or not performing well like Arthur of course..

Scamacca seems like a really risky transfer. He has achieved very little so far in his career and not exactly scoring regularly this season.
There is definitely potential there but he seems to have built a reputation based on what he achieved at youth level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a success or floating around teams like Bologna etc.
It seems far too early in his career for a move to one of the top teams in Italy. He still hasn't proven much at senior level or had a breakout.

Last season he got 12 goals (8 in A + 4 in coppa)
This season he has 6 in Serie A without playing all the minutes.
More than that he is a better fit for us than Morata or Kean. He can hold up play, he is huge, he is technical, and he has a great shot. Dybala would enjoy playing with someone like him much more than with our CFs imo, more similar to his best partners (Mandzukic and Higuain).

Ignore the Coppa it is not worth considering, especially as 2 goals came against a team in the same league as Juve U23.

This is what lead to us signing kean for 40 million euros psg were smart enough to say that he is not worth 40 million euros despite scoring more than Icardi and the same thing can be said for Scamacca he is not worth 40 million euros unless he scores 20 goals or more this season . But we will need to act quickly to sign Vlahovic which might mean we have to pay more than 60 million euros I think we can do it if we sell kulusevksi for 40 million euros.
You can't compare to Vlahovic, he is basically setting all-time records if he keeps scoring at this pace. Which is why we won't be able to afford Vlahovic, or Haaland, or Mbappe.
There is the reality that we are currently not able to afford the best strikers. If we wait for Scamacca to explode some more then we risk not being able to afford him, or having to pay so much that we neglect other areas of the lineup.
Its not that Scamacca is a top striker, its that we can't afford a top striker. So we have to look for top talents and try to grow them into stars.
Kean costed like 35m. Tammy Abraham costed 40m. This is the price of highly rated young strikers.
Would rather try to sign Scamacca for 30m than those examples.

Kean had accomplished more and is younger, but he looks like a worse player. And that's the key. It's not the most important thing to accomplish a lot at 20/21/22 but to have the right characteristics to be able to grow and to also fit the team.

I'm confident we could have got Vlahovic last summer after his breakout. I don't think the likes of Man City were interested then. That is when you take the risk on young players, when they breakout. Vlahovic has now gone past that by putting up consistent numbers for 2 seasons. I'm happy to take the risk on a player after 1 season. Scamacca hasn't had a season like that yet. If he does in the second half of the season there is more of an argument.
Abraham had scored over 20 goals in a season twice (Championship) and 15 goals in the premier league in another. Scamacca has never score more than 10 goals in a season at any level. Plus English players come at a premium.

We could not have signed Valhovic last summer. His agents have come out and said that they took an offer for like 60m and Comisso refused it. Its why they said that Vlahovic will not renew.
