Icardi for a 6 month loan with no obligation is a no brainer. That gives us some freedom to start rebuilding elsewhere when we probably don't have the money to splurge on a big striker. Our best player is never fit, we need goals from somewhere. Kean and Morata are barely giving us any.

Remember - in regards to Icardi, its a decent band aid fix to help us rebuild. Signing him for a brief loan can't be any worse that what this club has given us in attack this season.
And Icardi would change this how and why? What leads you to believe a guy who hasn’t scored since September, has 3 goals - 0 assists in 17 appearances playing with Neymar, Mbappe, Messi, Di Maria is going to come start banging in the goals here supported by the mediocre players we have? How is he a decent band aid? I’m honestly confused by the perception of Icardi here.

What leads anyone to believe Dybala will suddenly turn into a WWII Panzer tank? People are looking at options b/c our options aren't working at all. If we had another good winger to pair with Chiesa, It'd be a fresh start with Max will help Icardi rediscover some relevancy of form that is better than whatever our trash up front is giving us.

Agree with keeping kean as a backup. He needs to stay. Either we use money for a midfielder from a DybaLatte sale or a new winger. Either way, Icard for 6 months isn't going to hurt us anymore than what is happening right now.

If we have the money then yes, get the young(er) Italian.

We are constantly hoping this or that declining player will rediscover form here if we sign them. How about let’s just not. Icardi is just the next Anelka/Bendtner style winter transfer. Sign an actual improvement or stay put.

Dybala has 8 goals - 4 assists this season. How are we even comparing him to the shit Icardi is showing at PSG? Cuz he has gotten injured? He’s one season removed from his MvP year. Not 4 years removed from his last good season like Mauro.

You shake the tree to have delicious fruit fall. You aren’t hoping shit rains down on you.

What leads you to believe Icardi will somehow become good again?

Might as well hope Dybala turns into a WW2 Panzer tank.
Would rather make money on PD this winter if we can, reinvest that as best we can, and take a chance for 6 months on Icardi. At least Icardi will be available to the team.

What we have and are using isn't working. Time to make changes. I see no reason to extend PD and we should market him as best we can in January and hope for the best.

No fear of shaking the tree just don't want an overpaid has been in Dzeko or Icardi

Good, if you really aren't afraid of shaking the tree then Icardi for half a season shouldn't be all that difficult to digest IMO.

We won't buy a top striker in January, we all know this. So borrow one if we can, make some money in sales and start the reinvestment process a window early.

Icardi for 6 months would cost us ~8/10m, he’d play instead of Kean who needs the minutes, he’s a striker who needs to be served as he can’t create, is a mental midget himself, no winner whatsoever.

We’d just be transferring Ramsey’s wages to Icardi. Maybe he’ll score a few goals but are those worth all those millions? A clear no for me.

For 6 months when we need goals yes, worth it for me b/c the goals gotta come from somewhere.

Ramsey is a useless example - guy is always injured. At least Icardi won't be permanently injured. Who knows, maybe PSG will cover some of the wages.
