He already runs more than most wingers. He's just defensively not good enough or disciplined enough to play there.

If you look at his heat map from any season, he spends more time out wide than anywhere else. He essentially is a winger, minus the defensive responsibilities. So he would fit out wide with a three man mid.

I don't think it matters where you place him on paper. He basically occupies those same areas regardless of where you play him.
