I'm having trouble seeing the potential. He definitely seems very strong with above average ball control, but I don't see anything that stands out as having world class potential.
It's a U-17 tournament from the research I did, so quite frankly I'd expect better. I mean if he's strong against 17 year olds, that doesn't necessarily hold up against adults. I'm very skeptical.

Yeah, and there are kids like Giovanni dos Santos and Carlos Vela tearing the world appart at 17yo and then they never accomplish anything (well, Vela is doing well now). As you say, u17 tournament usually mean shit. If the management sees something on this kid I'd rather trust them than making assumptions, same with Gerson.
