Hmmmm. Sturaro. Just what we needed, another central mid. Lets see here: Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Marchisio, Asamoah, Padoin, Pereyra, and now Sturaro. 8 players all capable of playing as a central mid.

How many attacking mids do we have (assuming Giovinco leaves)? Coman and Pereyra....oh sorry I forgot...Pepe. Out of those 3 Coman is the one with the most technical skills and doesn't get a game.

Its like I always say....Italian teams are obsessed with central mids. Most big European teams might have 5 on their books max and they would probably have 4 or more attacking mids as well.

- asamoah is injured and when he comes back there is every chance he´s going to play as a LB.
- padoin gets almost exclusively used as LB/LWB.
- you forgot romulo, who is injured as well.

so right now this leaves us with vidal, pirlo, pogba, marchisio and pereyra, so 5 players, for 4 spots (3xCM + 1 CAM). if you want you can include coman but imo there is no indication we will see him playing regulary as a CAM.
you just have to look at our starting line-up tonight to see why sturaro is necessary. our entire midfield consists of player from the first 11... in a coppa game...

it´s not like we didn´t try to sign another CAM ;).
we will see what happens in the summer with berardi coming back etc..

This 11M price tag for Gerson is a joke. The guy never played one single game at the pros. And if Juve signs this kid, it's for the Primavera or to be loaned out. It's a bit weird to imagine Marotta paying 11M for a kid who never played a single game at the pros and who is going to be loaned out or sent to Primavera. Lol.

For 5M it would be an interesting bet. But I'm not that high on him, really.

Kenedy is off to Wolfsburg, it seems.

How the hell are we linked to a Fluminense player and you don't ask me for info???

I like Gerson. He seems deceptively slow, but he's a classic left footed AM. Definitely talented. 18 yrs old I think.

Fluminense is completely broken, this kid would cost between 3/5M. Never played a single match at the pros.

Kennedy can become a pretty good CF, if developed the right way.

Between them both I'd go for Gerson because of the characteristics.

CB Marlon is also very good, nobody is paying attention to this guy. He reminds me of Juan.

And we have the best GK prospect in the country, Marcos. Really seems to have immense potential.
Reports, mention a figure offered by Juventus to Fluminense of €9m last Summer being rejected. If this is factually correct, then the 3/5m quoted above would appear completely crackers unless he is recovering from a serious injury, Ebola, or a combination of both.

Meanwhile, if these'reports' about us signing Osvaldo materializes into a 'done deal' before the window 'slams shut' on Monday night then I am going to have my blood pressure medication increased to reflect his arrival.

The prospect of his return to Juve fills me with utter dread.

Do you always get this stressed out over a 5th striker? :D
