Why would you want Gignac? Any chance you mix up Gignac and Giroud?
No, I meant Gignac. I have liked him since a long time ago, I brought him up as a possibility when we had all the winger problems in our 3-5-2 since Conte's first season. And in case you haven't been paying attention, he's tearing it up in Ligue 1, he has been the biggest part of why Marseille are doing so well. He's been fantastic for them.

He's getting a little old to be a prize transfer, but I would still hate to see him in Nipples or Merda.

I don't know, but it's going to be fun to watch them sell these players in the next couple of years to comply with FFP.

These are all moves clubs repairing a failed team make.

:agree:
they are doing loans with options for the summer. so they dont actually spend in this transfer window
Isn't there an obligation on Shaqiri? If not how did they get him over us and Liverpool?

They'll do what Roma do and sell someone like Kovacic or Icardi, it's not really building, but it's a calculated risk which requires regular CL football to prevent further sales. When you consider that there is Juve, Roma, Napoli, Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and the seasonal upstarts (Sampdoria, Verona etc) also trying to fit into 3 CL spots it's a real risk, but I suppose Inter have to do it or settle for being just a top 6 side.

Exactly, qualifying for the CL is a crucial component, that's why it's a risk to follow that tactic. I hope they don't make it so it comes crashing down.
