I'm glad those Shaqiri links are popping out more and more. We should have gone for him last Summer.

The whole mandatory buyout vs option is the same thing that was the problem last Summer. Bayern wants to sell him outright and if Beppe wants to loan him (so he could shift costs to the next mercato) he'll have to settle for the obligation. I already see arguments if he's good enough or not but I'm pretty certain he's the best we can possibly get, be it now or next Summer. He won't be our savior but he should be able to improve our attack significantly. Right now it's all on Tevez's shoulders to create and score as the rest aren't living up to expectations. If Tevez has a day off there's pretty much no one to carry the team. Hopefully Shaqiri comes so Vidal goes back to B2B and Pereyra will be only a sub. He won't help us in CL but at least we should have it easier in Serie A where we have to be more consistent if we want to put Roma behind. With Tevez and Shaqiri the team should be more creative and better at counters. He can beat his man, shoot from distance and cross pretty well and also take FKs. I see him as decent improvement.

what about Schar @Mark? or is Rugani more likely for the summer?
Basel have an option to keep him till 2016 so Beppe would have to pay for him so chances are we won't get him. :beppe:
Rugani is most likely in the summer.
    Rolando for 6 months probably.

i dont know, we do them lots of favors lately, time for them to do one for us. and i think it was last season that i read Marotta saying that our relations with them are excellent. whenever i see him (NT or vs us) he plays a great game, if hes like that most of the time then hes a great fullback.
He'd be nice but don't know if it'll happen. The great sabatini wants him. :D

well, we cant let that happen. another reason to sign him. besides, we lack italians in our starting XI. i hate that. what do you think they would ask for him?

    I got flightradar24.com open and ready. :p
    aaaa
Still remember that Iturbe following.....that ended up with Conte leaving us the same day ffs.
    Wow.
We offered 1 million and 6 million in June for Rolando. And we cooled off the Montoya track we are in for a left back now.
I don't know if this Rolando guy would be good in Juve, in Inter everyone looks bad because they are shit, being surrounded with good/great players is different thing. But with half of those money we could have gotten Rugani back this January
    That's what Porto is asking.
We are rumored with an offer of 0.5m+4.5M.

This.He is excellent player. You can't rate him at Bayern when he rarely starts at a team full of superstars.Whenever he plays he was very, very decent. He will shine with us.
Well, this 1st half of the season he was very, very shit.

It has a reason why Guardiola has given up on him. He played like somebody who wanted to prove something, but whatever he did was wrong..he dribbled when better should have passed..losing plenty of balls and possession..whatever he did turned into shit..as if he was cursed...comical. His decision making has been terrible and it looks like he is missing the football IQ.

Same time he was complaining about not getting enough playing time and receiving unfair treatment. That really was hilarious, as Bayern have given him plenty of opportunities the season 2013/14, if u consider that he missed several months of the season due to injuries.

I like him..he clearly has potential and skills, but he is obviously not suited to Peps possession based football and IMO Bayern is looking to offload him completely..only loan would make not so much sense from their point of view. Dont think they lowered their price to 15m€, but u never know with Bayern, as they r not the best in selling players at high prices.

Clearly some of us have been spoiled by these loan deals. You can't expect every deal to include no player risk. In the case of Shaqiri, if the price is reasonable, pay the damn fee. He's had flashes of brilliance while at Bayern despite playing seldom, he was flat out impressive at the world cup, and he was a consistent performer for Basel. The player definitely has enough pedigree for an outright buy if the price is around the figures discussed.

The potential Iturbe deal was far more risky given the fee and the players price. Even Morata was a less than stellar deal given RMs buyback rights.

What it comes down to is:
    playmaker? check
    Reasonable price? Check
Versatile? Check - he's played LB before
    Winger? Check
    Dribble/speedy? Check

We'd be dumb to refuse. Just like we were dumb to sign Morata instead of buying Mandzukic in the deal that Atletico got.

A good transfer is hardly ever risk free. Those loan deals are only possible with Udinese and other provincial sides and underperforming players.

The only crappy aspect is that he is cup-tied.

As for Rolando? Wtf. He's terrible. There is no value in signing him. I'd rather bring in one of Sassuolo's defenders if we must buy one. Maybe Acerbi, because lord knows he is way more deserving given his play this year after having gone through hell the last two years.

Well he shines before Pep comes.Anyway ,every coach got his own ideas. For example I still do not understand why they buy Martinez for 40-42 mil???????It was Pep's wish .And Bayern is such a powerhouse that they have at least two top players at every position.I am also afraid that Bayern will demand outright sale since they intend to get rid of him and they do not desperately need money(they have a lot)so that could be a problem and also I think that they won't go less than 20 mil.Let's see what will Beppe do.Anyway I will be very happy if we bring him here.Just look Tevez at City and here. Two different players. And his football skills were never in doubt.
