Yeah

Coaches know MUCH more than any of us do, that is obvious. But at the same time they make hundreds of little decisions in every single aspect of the game every day. They make plenty of decisions that can often turn out to be 'wrong'

football isn't an exact science, some armchair fan who knows enough about football but nowhere near as much as a manager can point out flaw in the managers decisions, even before it becomes a matter of hindsight. That's just how it is

Would they/we do 1/5th as good of a job in the same circumstances as a top manager? $#@! no.

Can they/we point out where managers have gone wrong, can we disagree with certain decisions and be proven correct? Yep, of course we can.

Basically, you don't have to be as talented/experienced/good as somebody in every way possible to disagree with any of their decisions.

Having said that, i'm happy enough with how much playing time Coman is getting. He's very talented by the looks of things, but he's not some 1 in a million beast. We should not be relying on such a young raw player to do anything important at this point.

In his early 20's, game time is key. But at this stage, he'll be benefiting massively from training in an elite environment under a successful coach with World Cup winners, league winners and top end International class players.
Yep. He's a year or two away from really needing a lot of game time. Training with our first team, Coppa starts, occasional league playing time is enough as 17 and 18 year old. The guy in need of game time is Morata. The question remains whether he is good enough to deserve it.

We definitely need a defender in January, maybe even a midfielder.

These players we have now at our disposal are not enough for three competitions.

Guys there is nothint to gain from January market window.

And next summer we should aim for a top scorer to replace Llorente
And either a GREAT winger or an awesome AM. Pereyra is not bad but never score....
Strong atk -> strong team.

I'd love us playing 4-3-3 but we don't have wingers.........

I'd take Vidic on loan as a bench player for the UCL campaign. He could add some needed experience to our backline in the case of injuries in the UCL.

You have to take into consideration the situation at inter:
-He played in a 3 in the back system after playing a decade with 4 in the back.
-He is playing on a team that for lack of a better word is pretty terrible.
-He is adapting to calcio, which is very different than English football.
-He is on the decline.

As a sub in a back four with Allegri I'm sure he'd be serviceable, and frankly in a UCL final, if we have injuries, I'd much rather see him play than Ogbonna.

I'm more than happy bringing in 1-2 veterans for the Champions League, even if they come off the bench.

Does that mean I'd sign him for 3 years for a 10 million euro fee? Hell no. But a 3 month loan is about risk-free as you can get, and in a competition like this, winners like Vidic could come up huge.

I mean jeez, imagine Chiellini gets hurt, and Barzagli stays injury prone... Would you want to dress Bonucci and Ogbonna for a game vs. Real Madrid? I'd take Vidic 10x out of 10 because of his experience.
