I've always thought that Shaqiri is brainless, if I'm being honest. I'm not doubting his skill and athleticism.

Well that's the only reason we have a shot at him and Bayern might be willing to sell in the first place. I've bee following him since his Basel days and it has to be said he didn't develop as expected so far. He carries Swiss NT on his back alone though. I think he'd do very well here given more trust and playing time but he's unlikely to become WC IMO.

As for me we're good as we are right now to finish the season. We're complete and we shouldn't waste money anymore. Coman is looking good and Pereyra is doing well behind strikers or in 4321. There's still Giovinco who should stay till his contract expires as backup since we won't get any reasonable sum for him. It's better to keep money for the summer and plan to spend money there. Shaqiri won't be able to play in CL this season for us so there's not much sense in getting him in January. It's also worth thinking through if we really need Shaqiri/Lamela type of signing since we're buying out Berardi in the Summer.

Nastasic is very tempting though.
