EDIT: forgot Pereyra. Move Asa to left back and Evra can $#@! off.
This is a 80m mercato without counting payments for players we have to pay next year. Not gonna happen.
Our most realistic approach is to be CL regulars and only be able to buy back our own youngster as the only first team signing in the Summer?
Quite the depressing reality.
We could do better but it won't happen as long as we have so many installments to pay. That's why it's time to stop with the depth thing and go for quality even if it means one or two players per mercato.
We have a very strong team and good depth. Romulo and Pereyra look like good signings while Ogbonna and Caceres stepped their game up. There's always Padoin and Evra who are capable replacements and we're finally looking good in attack. It always could be better but next year I don't think we're going to break the bank for a top class player. We have those installments to pay and there will be more of those because we have co-owns to resolve as well. I think all of us can take for granted that Berardi and Rugani are coming back. That's 20-25m to be spent easily and we still don't know what will happen do Gabbiadini.
That's why I expect another quiet mercato. We already have Coman who's looking good and we'll add to that Berardi. IMO we will go for one more winger/am considering the possibility that Gio and Pepe would go (which they should). I think it could be Shaqiri, so far he didn't renew and we already know we were interested before. His contract is running out in 2016 if I'm not mistaken.
If things went that way I wouldn't really complain as long as we don't sell anyone important. We still have some 'dead weight' to offload too. Lickily there are a couple of contracts running out so we'll have it easier a bit.
