As for the Pastore bit, I really don't know what to $#@!ing say. $#@! him and his Serie A experience. Mata is clearly the superior player.
I don't know, i always liked his style. Technique, Mind, 10 abilities..but he is really, really slow.
If he had been born one decade later from his age, now we could talk about on of the best ''10'' of our years.

First of all our midfield is stacked, and we'll NEVER use a 2 man CM partnership to make room for teenage wingers or half decent players who are being shoe horned on to the wing, that's just fucking not going to happen. It would take a retarded coach to take our best area and weaken it so we can play Coman and Pereyra AND drop one of Tevez/Llorente. Not happening.

Second of all, Allegri has never ever used anything remotely close to a 3-4-2-1, hell only Napoli from recent memory pulled it off with any success, because their attack was stacked and their CMs were average at best.

So I don't want to read more shit about some crap 3-4-2-1 when we have 1,000 midfielders and our best winger is a teenager.

As for 4-2-3-1, come back when we have a top class AM and 2 top class wingers. Otherwise we'll be fielding some disgusting monstrosity with half a team full of players who are half decent in a 4-2-3-1 system, we'd be lucky to finish top 3 with our current team in a 4-2-3-1
I ask again, who marks the sidebacks on you're 4312??

The 2 players behind the CF aren't wingers, because their primary job is not to cross, they're second strikers (SS) and their primary job is to cut inside to give key passes or to score, SS is the best position for Tevez, Berardi, Pereyra and Coman.
Yes we have a lot of midfielders and with 4321 we'd be fielding Vidal, Pogba, Asamoah and Pereyra, 4 midfielders with Marchisio for bench and Pirlo when needed and for your information he's currently injured.

So without the players currently injured our best formation would be this:

------------Buffon
--Caceres--Bonucci--Ogbonna
Lich----Vidal------Pogba----Asamoah
------Tevez-------Pereyra
------------Llorente

Of course he COULD play CAM, just like Marchisio can, so can Pogba probably and even Perayra.

But it's about getting the BEST out of your best players, and if you think taking by far our best defensively capable midfielder, slapping him in a CAM spot in a 4-2-3-1 AND having god knows who on each wing is a viable option, then I don't know what to say.

Oh and before I forget, 4-2-3-1 means we can say goodbye to Tevez or Llorente

Benching Tevez is unacceptable, and Benching Llorente would be harsh considering he's definitely more suited to playing the lone striker role. So do people want to sacrifice Vidals defensive contributions, and bench one of our strikers to fit somebody like Giovinco/Pereyra in to a 4-2-3-1? Because I sure as hell don't, and thankfully Allegri probably wouldn't fancy that either.
Played CAM in Leverkusen, did it wonderfully. He's perfect for it. Just not in the narrow minded way some fans think about a CAM.

Tevez and Llorente are equally capable of playing that system. It's all about the way it is played. Formations are just numbers on paper. But fantasy fans barely recognise that, I'm afraid.

Why do you insist on a back 3? that formation is absolute garbage

Fantasy fans are the ones who think its all about line up players regardless of defensive and tactical movements.

Maybe because we have 6 defenders?? Yes Marrone is the sixth. Why its garbage? Two of the smartest DT's in present are using it (Van Gaal, Guardiola) and we already master it, we just need to make it more offensive.

I prefer Pastore over Mata anyday.
More ''10'' characteristics and experience from Serie A.

Isco would be perfect...but it's a dream.
I would rather trade vidal with isco than mata, and if we are talking about trade (or plus cash) I think we can have a chance on signing either isco or mata, the bigger uncertainty in that case would be the player wage, however isco wage is still low even for our standard IIRC so IMHO isco is a dream we can still achieve if we dare with such a move and personally I think such a move is worth it.

losing vidal and gaining isco is IMO like losing older edgar davids and gaining younger platini, so why not?

When you're saying sidebacks are you referring to a back 4 as in the fullbacks or 3-5-2 as in wingbacks. I'm just not familiar with that term.

So people think pushing Vidal to CAM, benching Pirlo AND one of Llorente/Tevez + playing 2 of Giovinco/Coman/Pepe/Perayra out wide is a viable option?

Ok then

Sure, it wouldn't be a disaster, but there's so many better ways to use our squad it's not even funny.
