 :howler: The EPL, where teams can't defend for $#@!. It might be entertaining, but the best league? $#@! no! It's been in a steady decline for the past 4-5 years.

As for the Bundesliga, it is just Bayern, and then everyone else. The league actually needs to be competitive, if you are going to call it the best.

La Liga has 3 incredibly strong teams.
Well that's the perception. However, here are some stats......In the EPL, there have been a total of 570 goals after 22 rounds which works out to be 2.59 goals per fixture.

In Serie A, there have been 514 games after 20 rounds (with 2 matches still to play with 4 teams still having played only 19 rounds). That works out to exactly 2.59 goals per fixture as well.

Magically, La Liga also works out to be 2.59

The Bundesliga has the highest goal count per fixture at 2.82.

---

Of course there are limitations to this analysis. But as a whole, one would have to conclude that the attacking players in the premier league are superior than in Serie A. So if overall goals scored is the same per fixture, it would imply that English defences are actually better than Serie A.

I also don't think the EPL is in decline. Recently EPL teams have not done that well in the champions league but I think that is partly as a result of the fact that the top 3-4 teams had been more equal than the top 3 or 4 in Spain or Germany (forget Serie A as its not even comparable) in recent years.

If the wealth in the EPL was concentrated into 2 teams like it is in Spain or 1 team as it is in Germany, they would probably win the champions league almost every year.

It just makes you realize the sorry state of Serie A. Juve has won the league 3 years in a row and is 7 points clear just past the midway point and the best any Italian team has done in the last few years is reach the quarters (thanks to an easy fixture against Celtic). This year Juve struggled just to get to the knock outs and can thank Atletico for playing out a draw in the last match.

Well Vidal picked us over bayern though and krasic over man city
Because they were certain of more playing time here then at those two clubs.
In general, the SerieA will loose the fight over a player that is certain of playing time if it would be between a SerieA club and a top club of La Liga, EPL, Bundesliga or even PSG.

Ooh now we've come to the point where the point is "no player ever preferred Juve over a big club............. without being assured of more playing time". This is getting more ridiculous by the minute.

What an active transfer window from Juve this time around!! Exemplary!
Is there really a need to strenghten us this winter?
7 points lead, in the next round of the CL, still in the Coppa.

If we would buy a player, it would need to be a real upgrade from what we have now, and thos cost much in the winter, maybe better to save the money for the summer mercato?

As a fan, it might not be important and we might still think Juve is among the top5 teams which attract the most in Europe, but that just isn't the case anymore.
So yes, for players like Krasic and Vidal, at the age we signed them, that matters.

We are probably getting sturaro (good Imo..) and a striker.. The striker part is tricky because you can overpay in a second in that department... Zaza isn't juve material (yet) Imo.. Loaning Osvaldo again would be stupid.. He is a troublemaker.. But I can't name a cheap striker who would do good in our squad

you only say that because you know we don't have money. if we had 30 mils and a 10 mil salary cap we would transfer something not ucl tied (like normal teams do) if you want to push harder for cl.

If we want to go one step further in CH.L., yes we do!
Says who?
Against a struggling and with injuries bothered Dortmund who can't rest starters in the Bundesliga I think we have a good chance with the current squad.

problem is that all the names that would make us go further in CL are alre cup tied
Correct, or are all players who are within the 3 most important players within their team and would cost us a fortune.

I know nothing about our financial situation, I say that because I don't think that, to reach our targets for this season, we wouldn't need to strengthen the squad.
And to stand a chance against the Real's, Bayern's, Barcelona's and Chelsea's, we need more then 1 30MEuro player.
Maybe we fans hope that a CL victory is possible this year , but for now, I doubt that, even with one 30Meuro signing.

well ches just imagine tevez up with a good 30 mil striker in front. i wouldn't change anything in mid. in defence again..nothing to change. we hardly qualified because we wasted immense chances 1vs1..

Yeah cause we lack players with pace and good dribblings. That's our main problem imo. Beside a top striker to team with Tevez.
That's Why Conte wanted Cuadrado and Sanchez. 2 pacey wingers with a lot of dribblings.
We have a good team but we lack in the fantasy and speedy part imo

Yeah, but then again, name me one, not cup tied 30MEuro striker you think is realistic?

And they only would have costed us +/-70-75 MEuro?
