Ahhh, i wanted to post something in the "NEver the same" thread but Swag closed it before i had the chance.....i guess its ok if i post it here............

There are some things with which i really cant agree with you. First of all, i woudnt go that far and say that it will never be the same Juventus as before. Secondly, besides Diego and Chiellini, we have Marchisio, Giovinco and even Sissoko. Now most people here would say that Giovinco will never play. I say wait and see what happens. When it comes to Diego, this is his first season, so we cant rate him much at the moment. Many players in the history of this game had problems adjusting to new environments but then they turned out to be very good players. You also mentioned Zidane, Platini, Nedved.......Now, lets look at this periodically....Platini, then came Del Piero, then Zidane then Nedved (who actually played untill last season). You cant expect to have Ballon D'or players every season. But we are not that bad, we have Chiellini who is probably the best defender at present. We have Buffon the best goalkeeper in the world. When it comes to Diego its just a matter of time before he starts performing in top form. So, to sum up, im an optimist for Juventus' future. Lets not forget that we were in Seria B, and we lost the best player (at that time) on their respective positions. Like Zambrota, Thuram, Cannavaro..... Too many changes have happened for Juventus in a very short period so its just a matter of time before the team gets back on track.... Now, we have the players, and we have the funds to replace those players which are really not capable of playing in top lvl (Zebina, Grygera, Groso).

(1) aren't you counter arguing yourself in the first statement. also, you ignored baggio. All of the mentioned players had good first seasons.
(2) this argument is valid only if this was our first season after promotion and we are performing badly but you clearly ignored any progress happened during the ranieri spell. remember after sire B we were third then second even after we lost star players.

anyway, keep the optimism.

The fact that i ignored Baggio is not important cause i was just trying to make a point so i mentioned the players that i mentioned. I could have made a list of great players that have played for Juve in the last 2 decades but i didnt cause i just wanted to prove to him that Juve had, has and will always have class players in the team.

As for the bolded part, you are right, we did manage to finish 3rd even 2nd under Ranieri, but that brings up a whole new subject. Did Ranieri deserve to be fired? My answer is NO. It is unclear to me even untill this day, why was Ranieri fired when he took Juve to 2nd place. What more did we want then? 1st place of course. And we tought that firing Ranieri and hiring a coach that have never led a profesional team (Ferrara) would bring us that 1st place.....but it all backfired on us and now we are 6th, fans are beating up our players, and Roma (a team which is led by Ranieri, and a team which was near the bottom of the table) is fighting for first place and has equall chances of winning it just like Milan and Inter.

Anyways, i will always keep my optimism when it comes to Juventus, i will never, ever loose faith in them no matter what happens. FORZA JUVENTUS!!!

i can´t see Palermo throwing this away. they are really gearing up champions league. they want it and they will take it, right in front of our nose.

look at our fixture, we are not getting fourth. look at how we play on the field, it´s as ugly as 50 year old heroin hooker. that doesn´t get you much.

What would a gaylord know about hookers anyway? :shifty: :p

However, I agree with you. Palermo have a more favourable run-in, not to mention a superior head to head record against us

We usually do well against Inter, but then again, as we are in our worst form for 50 years, we are more likely to get steamrollered. For if Udinese can humiliate us so easily, Inter will eat us alive and shit us out for Muntari's breakfast...

    (Initial fixtures post updated, regretfully)

Nothing about this team is convincing or assured. I'm starting to wonder if we make Europa League, it would be a travesty of sporting justice.
