Those guys are fucked, and yeah its utterly despicable practice, way more then Gitmo, to have tons of secret jails around the world.

They do it pretty openly too, nab few dudes from sweden, take them to Egypt, have the egypt or Jordan, have the govt there torture them for giggles, then off they go to some secret prison in Eastern europe or asia.

Those guys were Gitmo prisoners that were found to not be terrorists but the US didn't want to send home in case their stay in Cuba turned them into terrorists?
Yeah they were Uighers from China and the Chinese government actually wanted them back(from what I heard to kill them) but the US declined and sent them here. I'm pretty sure they were never found guilty or anything.

I know the sitautions (especially for the Uigurs from China, couldnt go back home at all), but to handle it like showdown described? How utterly laughable.
Yep, it really was. We all just woke up one morning and found out that the previous night we had the Minister of Immigration fly to the US and escort them back on a private jet. I mean I have no ill feelings towards the Uighers but like you said the way it was handled is ridiculous.

The same minister who now, with around 8% unemployment on the island, is refusing to renew any of the foreign workers work permits. Wants people to hire the druggies and repeat criminals when the government won't even help them.

We should really be called hypocrite-bullshitter-thieves island.

I know. It's just that whenever something goes wrong, the folks in question are quick to blame the US. That's why I called them out.
We blame the US because you can't really consider Jordanian regime and other similar regimes in the region as independent regimes. They get what they have to do from the American embassies.

But that's a bit different than what was admitted here. The Jordanians are the ones who supposedly pressured the US into attacking Iran, not that we pressured Jordan to pressure us into attacking Iran. Get my drift?

Perhaps the Jordanian government takes orders from the US in other matters, but that's something you should take up with them, not us. They are your supposed leaders after all.

    Look, Andy.

Jordanian regime and other regimes in the region, like the Egyptian for example, are living on the aids and donations made by US and its allies to make their colonial missions in the region easier. These regimes have no capability to pressure US as they do not have any way to threaten US. They are protected in their palaces by Americans and Zionists to keep being the good servants of US in the Middle East. How could they pressure the US politicians when they know that if the US gets angry at them, it will remove them immediately?

WikiLeaks: Saudi King suggested trackers for Guantánamo prisoners

The king's surprise suggestion was made to John Brennan, President Barack Obama's top counter-terrorism adviser, in a meeting in Riyadh in March 2009. The cable recounts that he said: "I've just thought of something."
He then proposed implanting detainees with an electronic chip "containing information about them and allowing their movements to be tracked with Bluetooth". He pointed out that this "was done with horses and falcons".

Mr Brennan, a former senior CIA officer, appeared amused by the suggestion and unconvinced of its practicality, replying that "horses don't have good lawyers" and pointing out that such an action proposal would face legal hurdles in the US.

During the same meeting, King Abdullah smothered Mr Obama with flattery. In a section of the titled by the State Department as The World Needs Obama, it was recounted that King Abdullah had said: "Thank God for bringing Obama to the presidency.":sergio:

The king continued that Mr Obama had created "great hope" in the Muslim world, saying: "May God grant him strength and patience. May God protect him. I'm concerned about his personal safety. America and the world need such a president."

Mr Brennan said that Mr Obama was looking forward to meeting King Abdullah at the forthcoming G20 summit in London. When the meeting happened, Mr Obama made an elaborate bow, attracting criticism in the US that he was subjecting himself to a foreign monarch.

What an idea:lol: They should stop showing CSI in Saudi Arabia immediately.

They didn't deny anything but overall there isn't much new in this.

95% was already known at some level. Unless they bring out something huge I don't see a big deal coming out of all this.

Yep major American bank that is still running too.

Me thinks someone won't be operating for too much longer.

Still waiting for the cable that discloses how much Bermuda was paid for the 4 Gitmo boys. Hopefully it's in there.

At least there is some accuracy.

They are calling kemalists "a bunch of elitist ankle-biters"

Another good thing is that Aliyev has dropped the mask.
I'm enjoying the reading on how Ahmet Davutoglu is labeled as dangerous. I'm also enjoying the cables regarding the Turkish blackmail on the Armenian genocide vote with the Armenian-Turkish protocols. Nothing we never knew about before. Happy it's out "officially" now. And Aliyev is a total fail.

Most of the Embassy cables aren't surprising. Of course Americans talk about other nations behind their backs, I'm sure all the rest of the world does the same.
I can confirm that it used to be the case +100 years ago, and I have no reason to believe that it's not the case anymore.

You see the Russian and Austro-Hungarian ambassador in Athens in 1902, wearing nice suits, a cylinder hat, walking stick, smiling at the photographer, you're thinking they must be having a good relationship, then you read their reports sent to the ministers of foreign affairs talking shit about the other one and the country the other guy represents.

But this shit is even better because you get to read what alive people are saying instead of reading what people who are long gone used to say. :D

Read again the document about Jordan, and you will find it is about Jordanian regime begging US to hit Iran, not pressuring them.
Same difference. Lets not get childish here.

Next target from Wikileaks - banks.

You should have read that Sunday when I made the thread, you donkers.

Yep major American bank that is still running too.
I'm not sure what it will be, but it could be regarding Foreclosuregate and all the dirty stuff banks did surrounding Robo-Signing mortgages. Or it might be about their fraud in general, or the fact that JP Morgan has a $2 billion short position in silver and gold, most of it a naked short.

But alas, all this stuff is already known. So hopefully it's not any of this, but worse.
