On the subject, Catholicism isn't like conservative Judaism. They don't make Sabbath-compliant stoves and ranges for Catholics. So there's perfectly nothing wrong with doing something strenuous on Sundays.

Sundays make perfect sense in Italy, because many of the stores are closed (as opposed to the weekdays and Saturdays) and it's a nice occasion to still get out and do something social in the community. And most people have the day off of work to attend the match.

But I am almost sure that if you are to be emplyed at GE you have to be 6 Sigma educated. Considering you are an engineer then it has to be green belt.

Yeah, GE Corporate spend a lot of time training its people on quality processes.

Is GE pretty big in Sweeden as well? One of my Sweedish classmates got an internship offer from GE-Sweeden.

Yes it is big here.

I have read some of Jack Welsh's book. He was the one who implemented 6 Sigma to the company and he did it well. I think they are the best company implementing the discipline among all the other companies; even better than Motorolla knowing that they created it.

Yeah, Jack Welsh truely changed the company when he took over some 30 years ago. With 11 business units, they are now the largest and strongest in the world, down only to ExxonMobil in terms of the market cap (for as long oil prices are high).

When the pope died I came to think of something. Italy seems to be the most catholic country in the world. One of the foundations in the catholic life is that the sunday is the resting day when you should not do any bodywork at all. I suppose people don't care very much for that anymore but still it is odd that Italy of all countries have decided to have their football games on sundays.
