Here in Singapore it's become illegal for teachers to lay a hand on the students without asking their parents for permission first.Parents have complained incessantly about how their children come home with cane marks on their palms,completely overlooking what their child did in the first place to warrant such punishment.

It's pretty normal in Saudi Arabia also...I remember once in 5th grade I was hit by a teacher on my hands with a big wooden ruler in front of all the class until i cried...then he ordered me to go to the end of the class and stand while raising my hands sideways while holding a suitcase in each hand...and i stood like that for like 30 minutes...MAN that was SADISTIC:fero:...IF only i could see him again!!

    Seems I started some kind of "revenge against former teachers" thingy here... :D

    My teachers in my polytechnic r kind to me, whenever I have a question, they r always willing to offer a helping hand. And they even offer advice about my future.

    Your lucky, I think the one very nice and kind teacher I ever had was my very first team when I was 4 in primary school, Ms Christy she was called...Even though I have an awful memory I still remember her, amazing teacher she was...shame the rest had to be crap afterwards...

    i am sick all the time anyway...
    those drugs really damage my stomack and i have stomach-ache all the time when i am ill....
