A combination of a few factors initially it was Roberto Baggio in 1994, followed immediatly by Alex Del Piero as soon as I saw him play in the 1994-1995 season and the fact that they showed Italian football live on TV in Scotland more than they did the Scottish Premier League
i was at the second leg at Ibrox of that game, was absolutely amazing, my first real memory of being at a football game; although i had been to see St. Johnstone before that.
I was in the stand behind the goal when Ravanelli ran over to pull his shirt over his head and Marocchi scoring a screamer. What a game!
It was 1998. I was just starting to get into football. I don't remember who Juve was playing. Hell I didn't even know what league they were from or what status they had. I just watched them for 10 minutes got a tingly feeling inside, and decided that I love Juve after just 10 mintues. It was just pure instinct, and I regret it not!
Yeah, such a shame you didn't go to Poljud. I hope you'll have another oportunity.
Trpanj is on Pelješac, closer to Dubrovnik than to Split, but it's not too far either.
Well, times have changed, Poljud is older, and from what I've seen on TV it's not so attractive like it was. But anyway, if I ever go to Split, I'll visit it, that's for sure.
As much as I feel fans of EPL clubs are lazy-assed, xenophobic, pop-music-adoring wusses and unadventurous sheep, one Liverpool fan put it best to me: "You don't choose your club, it chooses you." For once, I had to agree with him.
I was brought up by my dad as following in the family tradition of being juventini. I am very passionate though, I can still remember when they lost in 97 against bvb, I cried my eyes out that night
