Hajduk was my favorite club in ex-YU, too. Unfortunately I never had opportunity to see Poljud, nicest stadium in ex-YU. I was close to go there one summer when I was in Trpanj, that's close to Omiš, correct me if I'm wrong, but that trip failed.
Yeah, such a shame you didn't go to Poljud. I hope you'll have another oportunity.
Trpanj is on Pelješac, closer to Dubrovnik than to Split, but it's not too far either.

Name, Juventus was different from others, not a city name like Roma, Milan..etc.
its weird i know but name impressed me a lot when i first heard:p

and of course also AlessandroDelPiero:beer:..***..
I agree.. I felt it had something special by having a non city related name ..

personally, I loved Roberto Baggio since WC 1994 .. that was pretty much the only football we used to watch other than Saudi League .. then broadcast tv started to show some UCL and Serie A .. I searched for the divine ponytail .. He's at Juve :weee: .. didn't interest me much at the time .. then in early year 2000, when I started to follow football closely .. I was looking through squads .. Baggio wasn't in Juve anymore .. who else do they have .. Zidane, DP, Deschamps and the rest .. (people who i heard about from WC94-98) .. I went awesome that's my team ..

We were Euro champs, we played against PSG in the European Super Cup in 1996 and we literally destroyed them. I think this was the very moment i felt in love with Juve. The football we played then was out of this world.
Zidane, Del Piero, Di Livio, Vieri were humiliating every single team on their way.
It was the easiest thing in the world to fall in love with Juve and most of my generation were Juve fans
alen pretty much sums it up

but mainly for me was zidane, he is the reason i fell i love with soccer in the first place. but even though he eventually broke my heart and left juve my heart stayed in turin

I was attracted to Juve by a player called Roberto Baggio, i saw him first at the World Cup 1994 and was fascinated by him. Then in like November 94 my bro was seeing Calcio Italia on Channel4, and i saw Baggio, saw he was with Juve, and thats how i started liking them. Then along came Del Piero and my love was permanently stamped
