Uruguay deserve to be where they are, I know Ghana fans may disagree but even during that match Uruguay played the better football. They play solid football and I really hope they do win it but if not then then it has to be ze germans for their brilliant counter attacking football (not saying the least kicking two favourites out in a thumping manner). Dutch had an easy group alongside meeting slovakia, Spain got lucky, these two IMO dont dont deserve a final, but then my Opinion wont mean shit on Tuesday.

Exactly, and saying they don't deserve it is just pussy. They might not be flashy, but they did fairly beat all the team they played. According to the rules they did beat Ghana fairly too, and that's what matters. There was no cheating. However, I do think FIFA should follow the example of other sport like Basket-Ball and Rugby concerning goal violations.

Anyway, it's a pity that a lot of people don't like underdogs, and don't like it when they do good.

Not really. I actually like Uruguay. But if such a team wins, it is more about the failure of others than about them.
I agree, but that's not Uruguay's fault.

What are we left with now in the tournament:

An average Spain
A decent Netherlands
A good Uruguay
A very good Germany

It's been a weird World Cup.

Then stop blaming Uruguay and start blaming the other 31 teams who failed to give a good fight!
I'm not blaming them at all. Of the four teams that are still in the World Cup, I want them to win. But it does show you that it has been a poor World Cup. Forlan's free kick against Ghana was odd to say the least by the way and only a miracle got them to the semis. What I'm saying is that Greece as European champions sucked. It sucked because everyone could beat them.

I can say the same thing about Italy in 2006, how would you reply to that?
I disagree because I think they were a great team. By far the best that year. They also demonstrated this in friendlies before the World Cup in which they absolutely demolished other great national teams.

But if you think they were like Uruguay this time around, I could understand why you felt they were poor World Champions.

They weren't by far the best team

They beat a 10 man France team by penalties. They managed to get Zidane sent off by being sneaky, and they managed to get Henry and Vieira injured by being dirty.

They were poor in the final, but they were the best team. They were also better than France, who were gifted a penalty early on. The Italians actually scored themselves. As for the other incidents.. a 10 man France? For what? 4 minutes? Hardly the biggest influence ever on a football game. And the guy fucking headbutted a player. Get over it. He should never have done it.

But Italy were probably the best team at that time. And even if they weren't they were in the top three. Uruguay on the other hand really don't come close TBH. They're also in the semis after a miracle against Ghana and an easy second round game against Japan.

We Italians are dirty, we like to injure players and win the Cup. If you can do it the same way we do it your team would have won the WC.

Forza Italians playing dirty and teasing everyone.
Forza Italy's 2006 performance.
Forza Bergamo.

See! YOU think they were a great team, I think they were nothing but a normal team that with certain circumstances they were able to lift the trophy.

If Uruguay manage to win the cup this year, it would be the exact same scenario, circumstances that led to their victory.

I said you could think what you wanted, Jack.. I'm not sure where you're going with this.
