I agree. I recently watched a documentary on Stalin- he was a nice kid back in Georgia while young. Only when he joined the Party and felt sweetness of being evil did he change.

which brings us to another point. things like the Communists come only when they are needed. imagine if things had been good in Russia and Germany. who would think about creating Nazzi and Communist parties?

well. if u have a job and make enough money to have a decent standart of living why would u bother with joining a group that wants radical changes and thinks that the only to change is by civil war?

now if u (just like people in Russia) lived in a country where the Czar (King) was making u die of hunger? would u want to do something? in theory communism is a very good thing and people who started it were only thinkin for the good of the majority who was dying of hunger.

But what you said is fascinating Don. I used to think those things all the time during history class (still do occasionally during boring classes ). It lies in line with the theory that, when travelling back in time, one musn't move a muscle. For stepping on a twig could destroy a forest in the future (present).
