Who's playing in Midfield? (1 Viewer)

With Emerson, Zambrotta, Nedved, and Pessotto injured; and Blasi suspended, who's going to play in midfield?

I guess I'd go for something along these lines:

What are your thoughts?

Um, why would you start Camoranesi in the middle of the park when Olivera is available?

This would be my choice:

Kapo - Tacchinardi - Olivera - Camoranesi


I really do not see a reason to field Appiah when Oilvera can step in and do more for us in the attack. I would like to see Ruben in the middle of the park for this upcoming match against Atalanta.

I'd put Camo in the middle, because Olivera is even more slight of build. Tacchinardi would be charged with playing deep while Camo would push up more. Camo's got good short passing while Olivera can cross better. I think that Oli is a much better right winger than Camo will ever be...

However, i'd like Capello to try something else besides a flat 4-4-2.

Camoranesi is having a wonderful time on the right-hand side of midfield atm so I see no need to move him. Playing Olivera in the centre is something that should definitely be tried more as he offers much more to the attack than Blasi, Tacchinardi and Appiah who are the other candidates to command a central midfield position next to Emerson in the future.

Against Atalanta I'd like to see either:

Camoranesi - Olivera - Tacchinardi - Kapo

or:

Camoranesi - Tacchinardi - Olivera

That's an interesting thought, but it would end up working out more like this:

He can play in the centre as well though. Whether he's better out wide or central remains to be seen, but I prefer him to Appiah either way.

Personally I prefer Olivera to be playig behind the strikers in the 4-3-1-2 formation.

That's the scary thing; people were pretty relaxed at first going into this match, but now that our lineup doesn't look all that different from the one that conceded 5 goals against Atalanta, confidence isn't as high in the Juve camp... which is pretty pathetic, really :groan:

u read my mind majed i would love to see capelli try the first one so he could play all three of his strikers isntead of keeping del piero on the bench and this deff would be an unstopable formation imo

Zambrotta Olivera Camoranesi ( zambrotta can go back help defend and camo and oli too del piero will be slight ahead of em to assist zlatan and trez .. playmaker... i dlike us to be more on the attacking though so this mid is strong on the attacking side.... blasi or tachi can be brought in for some dfence help replaceing olivera

cappello has a lot of choices really its all up to him and how everyone performs in training

I'd play Camo/Oli in the center together with Tacchi, but I'm pretty sure Capello will play Appiah-Tacchi. Don't think he will rely on just LMPtacchi to do the defensive work.

I'd play Zambrotta as lmf, if he is available that is.

Nedved's performances weren't great in the last two months, but I really feel we'll really miss him now.. We took his match-winning performaces for granted, neglecting Nedved's peformances which were 'just' good.

you mean "i cant move from arthritis" chimenti. buffon has kept clean sheets against much better oponents. that something we should not worry about
