there is a difference

fasting in ramadan is not chosing thing for muslims but its fardh you have to do or you will be get punish

right you will be for given for past sense but also you will be not punished for not fasting

i hope you will fast :)
TBH, like most members around here know me, I do not believe in any Religion. But I'll be fasting just like any Ramadan, to respect my family whom are fasting and my friends and everyone around me who's welling to fast.

It's not nice eating and chewing while others will have to wait. I prefer to fast and have a family/friends dinner all of us.

I always want to be clean, whether there's Ramadan or not. I believe I should be clean with myself and the rest whether Ramadan exists or not.

Eveyone ask forgiveness, If not from god, then from himself. I make sure to have good history and background, help poor people, be honest with myself and with the others. I think then I wont need forgiveness from no one.
That's very good, but I think even I try as much as possible to be clean, there's still many unintended sins...
Sometimes, we didn't recognize that we hurt someone by our words..

Word.

The thing between me and Religion is that we don't match alot. See, you got people out there are welling to defend their religions all night long, but If you look inside them you'll figure out that they're probably applying 20 to 35% of their religion.

I respect all religions of course, I repsect what everyone believes in. But IMO when you really want to apply something, either do it as It should, or just live on your own. Do the normal things that God will be probably be more than thankful to you.

Simple things I do in my life...(and no I'm not being modest)...

-Take care of my parents, sisters...Friends, relatives

-Help poor/needed people.

-I've donated lot of cash in my life to hospitals, kids with deseases, not that much cash but still, I managed to help.

-I believe in myself and I'm honest with everyone.

-I don't lie, steal, hurt anyone on purpose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

On the other hand, from my experience and being Muslim, I've witnessed and met lot of Fanatics that are really into their Religions whether Muslims or Christians etc, who really could lie to you and steal you, but from the outside they'll just try to convice you how attached to their god they're.

The point here is that, I can have a good relationship with my god without following things I can't do, or I'm not to.

Hopefully, no one will get me wrong.

Then, it is mostly the followers attitude that didn't match w/ u, not the religion... <i dunno if u inagree w/ some of its contents>
Stand for our religion is a must, but if we didn't do fardh & still doin' bad things, IMO it's just meaningless..

I get ur point and I agree w/ u... many fanatics ppl didn't realize that their attitude could harm their own religion. They did anarchy, terrorism, etc. I think you've done great. I respect your opt.. :agree: :pint:

well before i know Islam ,i was really lost n i had no faith
i had so much troubles in my life
i used to feel really lonely
coz i didn't have anyone there for me ,my parents were always busy with their work , i don't even remember seeing them at home
i thought about committing suicide many times or if i had a serious disease
so that can make them pay more attention to me
i was always scared i didn't know the true meaning of life
i couldn't even sleep coz i didn't want tomorrow to bring me more troubles
i was really miserable ... but then i found out about the Quran and i read it i felt relieved somehow , i think i've finely found the light that saved me from my misery and my life became more meaningful than before

well i read the bible but i didn't find the answers to my questions
the Quran had so many predictions to the future
even scientists rely on the Quran in order to discover more about nature

Do you mean Turks can't be Muslims?
AFAIK 99% of Turks are Muslims , which makes her chance 1% (most of them are Armenians Russians etc..), still she could be a Christian before "converting"..
