They were asked but they already had their"orders" too, this is their roll to the team and they have accepted that, some times even Shumacher had to do the same...

WILLIAMS BMW ALL THE WAY !!!!!!

ha ha ha...bmw isnt with williams anymore....its now petronas bmw(sauber)....btw? is P.Sauber gona still be the boss of that team? He was sauber petronas boss, but now BMW bought their team....i wonder will P. Sauber be boss....

Btw some news about rules? Last year rules where stupid imo....from qualification to the race.....tires change should be allowed(or atleast once....) and more then 1 qualification lap should be allowed...last year qualification was very booring, i know they chansed it after half of season....but last season was so booring that i really didnt found formula 1 interesting anymore.....its about speed and big motors....but now they come up with some not so powerfull engines.....and also tires...for god sake look the speeds and they dont allow tire chanse.......i think they will allow it again when someone has crashed out and died....though today cars are protected better, but still....if something happens to the tire in so high speed anything might happen......

But i dont know if i will watch this season also....probably watch the first gp-s and then decide if its watchable...

Schumi has said he's staying at Ferrari.

In the good condition he is in, he could race for another 3-4 seasons. Now that Bernie has less control, hopefully the rules will be more constant.

is that something that would count as sporting behaviour?i mean..shouldnt Barichello and Irvine be pissed for being made to do so often?..or is the team more important than the individual standings?
i always thought individual standings were more important.

At the time it was perfectly acceptable to do that. And it wasnt really that often, Barichello probably did it around 3 or 4 times while he as in Ferrari (3 or 4 years),a dn Irvine perhaps 2 or 3 times in a few seasons.

And individual standings are important, Schumacher has a better chance of winning the title and thats why the team would ask his teammate to let him pass

Yup. In 1998 (when he broke his leg).

Irvine would have been WDC under the new points system (he only missed by 2 points, I believe)

They are all professionals. I doubt anyone of the current crop of drivers would refuse such a direct team order.

how good is that dude jensen bunton or whatever his name is?
my friend keeps raving about him.

I think he is very good. It wouldn't surprise me too much if he replaces Michael, when Michael is ready to retire.

I think it'll be Kimi, though.

And some times in the race teammates might slow him down,
    so the let him pass,
so the fellow driver would be an obstacle less and sould let him pass easely,
where they will fight to keep their position by any means in front of the oposition...
