I manage a team of engineers who develop and support some of the Web's most popular sites. They removed half my brain to put me in management, but at least I have half left (the useless half).
Before that, I developed control system software at high energy physics labs -- working alongside particle physicists with gravity-defying hairstyles and who spoke in triple integrals.
Before that, it was bioengineering research at academic medical centers. And before that, it was system engineering on satellite communication systems.
So it's been a while since I've been truly in school, but then again I've worked for a few universities over the years.
