What's your PC specs? I once started up a large DB game, but it took so long to process, even at the beginning of the game that I gave up on it. This was on a 2.66GHz P4 with 512MB DDR RAM.
it's a 2.8GHz P4 with hyper threading,512 ram and nvidia geforce 4 MX.

Valley can you halp me too ?
Honestly, I can't think of anyone for holding midfield.
Normally I rely on Blasi, but now he's at left back with de Rossi holding the midfield.
Palombo is probably too expensive in 2008. Augusto Recife (Cruzeiro, I believe) is non-EU, but he may cost a bit too. Mascherano is occasionally good in the game.
There's a player called Ygor, who is a DM, Brazilian though, but he's pretty good for me.

If you're after cheap and reliable, I'd search for someone with primarily good mental aspects like Team Work, Positioning, Anticipation, Determination, so they are less likely to let you down.
If you really need someone right now, I'd move for Davids, because he's probably mega cheap, big wages, but can keep you safe for a year while you find a suitable youngster.

Ah, yours is better then. Still, I think my highly fragmented hard drive may be part of the problem.

de la questa is pretty good at left back. or if you are feeling lucky try Vadim Niftaliev although he might not be good in your game
bah. I couldn't find Vadim in my game, and de la questa is more to a centre-back rather than a full-back. Man, I'm screwed:groan:

if you're looking for a holding midfielder, I think you can loan Rasmussen, if some fancy club don't need his service that is

Gasbarroni asked for a better contract, so I promised him one at the end of the season. I then decided, about 3 or so weeks later that I'm going to give him a better contract, which I did and he accepted. At the end of the season he says I promised him a new contract................WTF is up with him? Now he wants to leave. Anything to do?

The problem is everytime I do so, he rejects and is willing to negotiate. Then his agent says he's unsure about signing while his future remains hanging........what assurance does he need more than $95k/w.......that a$$hole!! :fero:

you should really find any club who want him and sell him, and buy a replacement with that money......unhappy player will never sign another contract

I bought Mascherano from River for 7.5 mil €. After I sold De Martino to Marseille, I had just De Rossi left at the DM position, so I bought Mascherano. Sent Olivera on loan too (forgot which club :)).

Also I won European Super Cup after beating Sampdoria in the final 2-1.
