You forgot to include the unspecified "world class midfielder", and "good side back." If anything, 50m is a bit low.

Selling DYO, Montero, Iuliano, Tudor, Zalayeta should make us some money, and furthermore free up some money spent on their wages.

Salas is wanted by Cavenaghi's club.

In the case of players like Trez, Thuram and DP I would prefer buy their successors now, and sell them next year if their replacement prove to be ok. Its more expensive but less risky.

we dont have to necessarily think that getting many players is going to cost a lot.

we have to trade wisely. trades like tudor and cash for zlatan and trabelsi are great. salas for cavenaghi would be awesome. we could then sell di vaio and trezeguet and get 40 million euros. we could use that to buy defenders like ferrari who is going at like 4 mill which isnt a lot. nedved and trezeguet are getting a lot of attention and teams like chelsea and barca are offering huge money. that money compared to players we are looking at is a big difference. with the selling of nedved, we could get 3 or 4 players in defence.

i just feel that the market these days doesnt need huge amounts of money for younger stars.
