I'm not talking about groups of players or our transfer philosophy - I'm talking one player in/out.

Which transfer from the past 2-3 seasons do you think had the biggest negative impact on us?

Getting Poulsen instead of Xabi Alonso?
Letting Trez go?
Buying Diego?
Selling Diego?

Plentiful mistakes of course but if were talking about the BIGGEST, it has to be letting Ibrahimovic go or like others are going to say Letting Trezegol go and Holding on to Amauri just sickening.

Too many mistakes to pick just one. I can't.
:agree: yeah same here.

waay Too many to pick from, but signing a known injury prone player like Andrade for 10 millions just to throw him away a year later for nothing, signing amauri for 20 mil's + throwing 12 millions on Martinez got to be my top 3 worst signings (perhaps ever).

Passing up on Hamsik in hindsight was probably the biggest.

Having said that there have been so many... Poulsen instead of Xabi was a mistake that I think only Secco and Ranieri could have made....
Tiago was a massive error. Paying 25m for Amauri and paying him Abramovich money was pretty pathetic..
The list just goes on really

Biggest mistake? Our policy led by amateurs after we came back from Serie B.

In the last two years? Buying players without knowing what are we going to use them for while having mediocre coaches.

Biggest transfer mistake? Not getting Xabi and getting Poulsen instead, selling Diego for that laughable price and getting Martinez for even more laughable price.

I would say getting Xabi Alonso would have been huge for our game so I'll say getting Poulsen instead of Xabi for sure.

Without a question, buying Diego was the biggest mistake his club did. Not because Diego is a bad player or anything, but because we built the entire team around this guy. Our entire tactical setup depended on Diego. He was supposed to be our new savior, and I think it's that remarkable expectation that was set by the board that really fucked things up for us.

If instead of Diego; we had bought two wingers that year in place of Camo and Nedved; we would be in a much better position in my opinion. Too much was required of Diego, too much was expected of him; we tried to implement a system that we were not at all accustomed to. It was a gamble, and we lost.

The after effects of that gamble are still visible today. Selling him was not as big a mistake as buying him in the first place. Diego was never supposed to play with Juve.
