Btw, there are a number of sites that take bets on more than just terrorist attacks. They do movie releases, wars, ebola outbreaks, asteroid hits, plane crashes, earthquakes, etc.

The notion being that open markets where people are vested have a collective opinion that tends to beat individual opinions in terms of accuracy. It's the "guess how many gumballs are in the machine" principle: individuals can be way off, but the summation of all of the votes tends to average at something very accurate to the total count.

That said, I have a contrarian vote that isn't going to say D.C. (my first vote for the U.S.) or London. Rather, Islamabad. Someone is probably going to try to force the issue of what side you are on, even if you are Muslim. :down:
