I see a lot of members on this forum that became Juve fans later on in their lives. A lot of them it seems became fans after some particular game, whether it was a Champions League game or a Serie A game.

I became a Juve fan when I was 6 years old (1991). I joined some kiddy team when I moved to Sweden and I remember on the first day of practice the coach asked us if we were going to watch the Inter game. This is when I got into football and Serie A. I think the first match I saw was Inter vs someone.

On the same day, I saw this team play that I just fell in love with. They wore black&white and their football was beautiful. Ever since that day I've been a Juve fan.

I know members like Nihilista! have Juve in their bloodline. When/How did you become a Juve fan? Share your stories.

i watched gazzetta D'italia on saturday mornings. i noticed Del Piero quite alot and after just watching these games i just started liking juve, and watching zidane play and him leaving really got juve stuck in my mind. but at this age (6) i wasnt really interested in watching football as i didnt really know much about it as i was so young. but when i got a bit older and went to high school i really began to fall in love with juve and after watching the 2003 final Cl, i havent stopped supporting an loving them.

I was a fan of Italian Football first,and i became a fan of Juventus later.I had developed a soft spot for Juventus when i found out that Roberto Baggio had the most succesful spell of his career with them,which was around 1996/1997 i guess.I was into International Football at the time,but i had very little interest in club football which can be judged from the fact that Ronaldo's transfer to Inter Milan was hot news at that time,and because of the media coverage it all got,i got the impression that Inter were the biggest team in the world at the timeP).

Then i started playing FIFA 97 with my brother on Sega,and i would always play with Juventus because of the Baggio factor,even though he wasnt at the club then,but i didnt care.Lame as it my sound,i started liking Juventus more and more because of that.So i ended up trying to gather information on the club.Then i found out that the best young player in Italy at the time ie Del Piero,was at Juventus (This was around the time of France 98 ).All of this further built up my interest and affection for Juventus.Plus,i ended up getting a book on Italian Legends,and the fact that the last player to captain Italy to a world cup victory was a Juventus player (Dino Zoff),i was pretty certain that Juventus was THE club that id always love and support.Due to the lack of coverage for Italian Football in Pakistan and the comparitivley late introduction of the Internet here,i didnt start following Juventus regularly since after the 2002 World Cup.

I didnt really get into Juventus initially because of the club's history.It was more of the players factor.It was a coincedence that some of the most well known players that i had read about belonged to Juventus,which drew me to the club itself.

Do they broadcast Serie A matches in Pakistan now? Also, amongst the footy fans in Pakistan how many would you say are Juve fans?

i became a juve fan around the age of 10 or 11 thanks to my mum who is a die hard fan of platini. since my dad was always at work so my mum was the only source of information. when i would ask her who was the best player in the world she would always tell me platini. she told me that he was a french player and used to play in a club called juventus in italy. i started watching juve games towards 1996 (but not on regular basis as they showed specific games) ( vialli, robbie, zidane, jugovic,..........etc) thats when we had satalite channels and if i am not mistakened a channel called mbc has just been launched and they showed the italian seria A. when i had to leave my parents in saudi and move in to cairo for uni i spent the first year with out cable but as a birthday present she got me satalite and later on she paid my subscription for jsc +1 so i can watch juve in seria A and then seria B. thats how i started being a fan thanks to my mum who thank god showed me the right team to support and till this day when ever she has the time she would always ask me to tell her how juve was doing in the league cl, and now adays seria B.

it was in 1994-1995 season, nine years without a Serie A Scudetto.
there was a replay of a Serie A match between Juve and Fiorentina on the TV. Juve 2 goals down at the first half and I thought that was it, but the late goal of Del Piero helped the team won 3-2 at the end. What a turn around!! I was touched and started supporting this team in the past 13 years from that moment.

They show the Serie A highlights only on cable,though they do show the occasional big match live.We get regular live coverage of the CL here however,which is why ive seen more of Juventus in the CL than in Serie A as far as live matches are concerned.

And Juventus have a very small following in Pakistan.I think out of the major european clubs,Juventus and Bayern Munich have the least number of fans around here.Its an EPL loving country,sadly

Well, I had a brother who was an Inter fan, he's not a sports fan anymore so thank God I don't have to deal with that! But you can imagine how it was growing up. Inter were and still are chokers and would blame their losses on others, and so did my brother. He wasn't fond of Juve and I wasn't fond of Inter. That's why we didn't talk about Serie A as much but now I love to make fun of his Inter days

i await this day bro, when my brother comes up to me and says ahmed i dont like soccer only then will i rest my case. as for my sister yeah its a nice thing at least she knows the players i dont mind who she supports as long as its not inter ia m happy and content.

What channel broadcasts the CL? And is the commentary in Urdu?

I get the Serie A highlights most of the time.Cricket is religion over here,but football is followed a lot here.Its obviously not as big as Cricket here,but its bigger than our national sport ie Field Hockey.And yes,you got Imran Khan's name right.He never released a song however.He built a free Cancer Hospital,which is was the first Free Cancer Hospital in the world if im not wrong,and now he's into Politics.

We dont pay for specific channels here.We just pay the Cable Operator a single amount monthly for all the channels.Its very cheap around here.Rs.250.Which equals around US $2.5 i think.

I can't say that I was a die-hard Juventino before 1997. Back to my early football days, I started watching football in 1992 and it was the Champions League final between Barcelona and Sampdoria. I wasn't cheering for a specific club, but for every match a team whose football attracted me. In fact, the only team that I was cheering for, at those days, was Italy since the WC94.

I remember that the only match I was waiting for every season was the CL final. And the first time La Vecchia Signora impressed me was in the 1996 CL final. Without a doubt, Dortmund match was melodramatic and I can't forget it. Still, I can't call myself a Juventino with a black and white blood before season 1997/98 when I started following the Calcio. The competition in the Serie A at that time was very wild and Juve were insisting on impressing me with every match I watched. And all of sudden, I found myself cheering for Juve as if I was born in Dell Alpi, and...Forza Juve.
