Why is it better to score in a World Cup final? I really don't give a damn if he scores for azzurri, but I'm jumping out of joy when he scores for Juve. What link do you have with Italy anyway, you're from Israel, not from Italy. Of course I wish him all the best with his national team, but why on earth should I prefer Italian national team so much when I've also got my own?

I'd also like to believe that some people deseve more success than others, and of course I want intelligent, charismatic and wise guys like Del Piero or Pessotto to achieve more than bastards like Vieira or Zebina etc.

Oh, nobody ever meant to say that they'd wish that Del Piero scored those goals. Of course winning comes first. But yes, I'd still be happier if Del Piero scored a hat-trick instead of Vieira, Zebina, Zalayeta or Mutu.

I'm actually from Italy originally... but this is offtopic. Del Piero fans will be mad happy if he scores those goals in the WC. If you're only a juve fan and don't care about Del Piero specifically then forget it...
