can anybody suggest any good Led Zepelin cds?
Ah, excellent choice. Just go with one of their six first cd's, they're all considered classics. Can't go wrong.

If you decide that you really like them buy their double DVD, it's the best DVD I own. For fans though, get some CD's first.

Sure, if you're lazy your like Zeppelin's CD names; the first four albums are called "Led Zeppelin", "Led Zeppelin 2", "Led Zeppelin 3" and "Led Zeppelin 4". The fifth is called "Houses of the Holy" and the sixth is called "Physical Graffiti". Their other two studio albums are called "Presence" and "In Through the Out Door".

As your first Zeppelin CD I recommend one of the CD's 3-6.

My 2 favorite albums are Led Zep II and Houses of the Holy.

No, I don't have the DVD, but I'm planning on getting it. As long as they don't have any footage from their disastrous '77 US tour.

tracks 1-10, 12,13, are from the first 3 albums.

11,14,15, are B-sides, especially Hey, Hey what can I do, which is a classic.

If you're going to get any more songs from Led Zeppelin III, you must get Immigrant Song, and Gallows Pole.

Hey, Torkel, here's an interesting tidbit.

Here in Rhode Island, our largest indoor arena is called the Dunkin' Donuts center, but back in the day, it was known as the Providence Civic Center.

It seats about 16,000 for a rock concert, and do you know what the first event ever at the Providence Civic Center was when it opened its doors in 1972??

Led Zeppelin :D:D

And No, I wasn't there, you smartasses.

I agree, Presence and II is great, but I can't really choose any favourites when it comes to Zeppelin. Something about those four guys playing turning into something magical everytime. But Achilles Last Stand is certainly one of their very best songs, right up there with Stairway to Heaven. Nobody's Fault but Mine is also superb, Candy Store Rock also great.

Eh... What impossible question to answer. Almost everything they've done is great.

No, there's a complete concert from the early days, some Madison stuff from 73, some stuff from Earls Court from 75 I think and some stuff from their last show at Knebworth. A superb DVD, I only watch it more and more.

A forum member here from member actually saw them live once, what a lucky guy.
EDIT: And that member was Roverbhoy of course, remembered it now.

Led Zeppelin 4 is awesome stuff. But as someone else said LZ 1-6 are all great. Try Remasters Classics double cd has a lot to offer.
