i do confuse them. i have read this book about alL the best pLayers in wcs but that either than giving me some names has confused me about time periods.

i am taLKin about the time when Franc ,not france, was king. when was that?
Franc? you mean Franz Beckenbauer? that was his period as a player, yes. from what i've seen (documentaries), he was great along with Cruyff. but so was Maradona, Platini and Zico (who also graced the end of the 70s) in the 80s.

Hmmmm... a lot of things happened in the '90s! Germany won the WC in 1990 and I began to love football. Hungary became a democratic Republic. I left the primary school in 1992 and started the secondary school and started to learnd English. In 1994 Italy lost the WC :( In 1995 I went to a Take That concert to Austria. 1996, I became 18, finished the secondary school, Germany won the European Championship, Juve the CL, Hungary became 1100 years old. 1997 I went to a wonderful trip to England. 1998 France won WC by beating Brasil, I became a real football fan, I became 20 and I started to support Juve! 1999 I started to work.

all the damn colors, the big hair (extra hair spray), wierd haircuts, the big and goddy over-sized clothes, and the high-rise tight-legged jeans :yuck: except for the Lamburgini Contache (spelling?!), the cars weren't so great either.

that enough? :D

I saw him play for West Germany,as it was then,in Dublin in 1966 prior to the World Cup. He played in centre midfield then and was outstanding. He also scored that night in a 4-0 win,and I remember thinking he would be very, very special, little knowing that his best position would be as a defender.
Halycon days!:cheesy:
