I actually have a 2004 Z4 which I love. Great engine. But the newer models with all the tech, there seems to be a lot that goes wrong with them. I think this is when BMW changed the engines beginning in 2008 or so. I still love them though, but Audi has grown on me a lot.

No silly, the issues are well documented.
Personally, I don’t like Audi. My wife loves them and is on her 2nd Audi Q5 and they always have some tech issues.
You are right about the 2008 BMW issues. It had some new tech issues but never hung me out to dry.

It's hard for me to buy a brand new BMW just because of their reliability issues now, but I do like this I4.

I like it too but in blue. Fortunately, there are many EV choices now and more are coming. I want to see what the new fully electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 would look and cost like.
In theory, EVs should be much more reliable and cheaper to run.

BMW's do have a lot of issues, but I don't think they're engine related. It's more the surrounding tech. To be fair to BMW though, Mercedes and Audi have had more issues in recent years too. It makes sense I guess, the more you build into a car, the more that can go wrong.

I ride an Alfa myself and interestingly for the Giulia and the Stelvio few users have had issues. Alfa Romeo see this as a win of course, but part of me believes it's mostly because the infotainment and the luxury of the interior is a step down from Mercedes and Audi. It's more of a driver's car.

Btw I've always thought BMW's were hideous from the front, but with the electric models I find them to be particularly bad.
I do like the Stelvio. But I chose the Audi because I loved it, plus the warranty is pretty good and the dealership isn't far from me.

The Q5 is sort of weird. Handling was really nice but maybe a little clunky. It was between that and the Q3 for me, chose the latter because it drives more like a car and also takes regular gas. So far so good.

Audis are good cars, but they're everywhere in Belgium even if they are supposed to be a bit more high end.

I know it sounds weird, because the distances are small, but people here have the most outrageous cars. I see Porsches and Range Rovers several times a day (the Porsche Macan in particular is popular here) and in the space of one week I've even seen two different Lamborghini Urus cruise through my neighbourhood. Crazy.

As for the Q3, interesting that you chose this particular model. Wouldn't that be considered small for American standards? I bet you're right about the driving and handling versus a Q5 though.

Friggin' rich ass Belgians.

The Q3 is definitely small for Americans. But I don't have a bunch of kids to drag around, so I don't need a massive Kia Telluride, or Cadillac Escalade, or some other big SUV. A lot of peeps shouldn't be driving those anyway since they can't even drive a car. The Q3 has decent space in the back and it just looks sexier, especially with the S-Line and black trim.

kia sorento is actually pretty good for mid size. Never could understand why people need a giant suv unless it’s a 4-runner

I really like Stelvio and Giulia but had cold feet regarding the reliability reputation. But I hear that they are getting better and better every year. Would love a Quadrifoglio.

Congratulations man. Good choice. Enjoy!!

BTW, you didn’t help Juve's parent company by buying an Alfa or Fiat or a Ferrari. I'm disappointed in you !! :)
