When I come up to see you in RI I’m taking her for a spin
:max:
Sounds like a plan. I'll make sure that it is in full M Mode. Sport steering, traction, no restrictions to the engine. By then I may have it tuned to 760 hp with 800 lbs of torque. Looking into ot, although it is an expensive endeavor. Then again, everything on this car is. 5000 dollars for new headlights. Jeez.

Dude! Happy to see you back around!

Hope you're doing well
Hey buddy. I am. I needed a very very long break from anything remotely hateful or toxic.

FYI. "Carve away the Stone" is my favorite track on Test for Echo

It's insanely expensive, but at least it's a very special car.

Volvo's EX90 will retail for over 100K. I'm sure it's going to be a great car and all, but in reality people are going to pay more than hundred thousand dollars for a family SUV. That to me is far crazier.

The only other M6 I've seen was at a BMW Club get together last July. Yeah, I'm a member .

His was the same year (2013) and it was owned by a Qatari prince.

I don't think I've seen one in Belgium.

The M3 is very popular around here though.

The thing is, I wasn't even looking for one. I had just finished test driving an X6 for my wife. I turn the corner and I see this car with a 2013 sticker on it. This is one of the largest BMW dealerships in the northeast, so there would be no reason to have a 9 year old car there. Unless of course it's a hard one to find. One thing led to another and I ended up trading in my Mercedes E350 towards it.

And of course exactly 30 days later, i get rear ended by an uninsured driver, causing 6k in damages.

He was also an unregistered sex offender. I guess he forgot to renew

I'm not sure how it works in the US, but in Europe countries have a fund that pays in case the liable driver doesn't have insurance.

I'm sure the guys from the dealership were pretty excited when you told them you wanted to look at the X6 though.

My insurance company had to cover the bill.

And I hate SUV'S, so it took a lot for me to get to like it

They're not going anywhere. The Lamborghini Urus for instance is actually quite popular around here. I never used to see Lamborghinis, until they made an SUV.

The X6 is kind of peculiar, because I believe it's from before the wave of sporty SUV coupe things hit us.

Unfortunately you are right. I still hate them, though. Speaking of the Urus, I saw one for yhe first time yesterday, pulled up next to me.

Man, those things are ugly, and they sound horrible

Personally I have felt for a long time that, if you get an SUV, get a proper SUV. Buy an X5 or something. A big boat of a car.

But I do get that people might want an SUV with the qualities of a better driving car. I have an Alfa Romeo Stelvio so I'm pretty much precisely in that category. I also get the Porsche Macan, it's perfect for housewives with a lot of money. But I will be the first to admit that they are pretty ridiculous cars. They're completely irrational.

But to venture into supercar territory and create some sort of racecar SUV hybrid is really taking it to another level. The Urus is one example, but now there's the Ferrari Purosangue (which is much better looking at least) as well. And of course let's not forget the Aston Martin DBX, which has a front that is almost identical to a Ford Kuga. What is the point of these cars? Are people going to stuff a Purosangue with luggage and drive through the Sahara?

How much is a Lamborghini Urus in Belgium? Must be crazy expensive.

220K? That’s lower than the US. In my ill-informed mind, I thought cars were cheapest in the US.
Factor in the cost to ship those cars over as well. That alone runs in the thousands.

Those type of cars should not be allowed in cities imo.
The main concern is that you are equipping a vehicle style with notoriously bad blind spots and field of view, with a super car engine and drive train.

Do we really need to take our kids to school at 180 mph.

I have a 2014 Infiniti QX60 that couldn't go 100 mph if you gave it a rolling start off the top of Mt. Everest. But for doing Uber XL and Lyft XL, it more than does the job.

Even if CVT transmissions are the single worst things to happen to cars in the last 10 years.
