I think it always was fucked, we're just seeing it live now.
It probably was. But there's no way it was fucked up like this before. In 10 years we're gonna eat lab meat, how is that not fucked up? Snowflakes mind animal cruelty and they have toxins on veggies and fruits, so we're eating literal shit. Was like this in the past? Nope.

I mean we had the black plague and way more diseases from meat in the past. A big reason why Jews and Muslims don’t eat pork or shellfish.

If we have to eat lab meat because of overpopulation, it’s the overpopulation that’s the problem. Not the animals.

So it’s a good thing birth rates are plummeting in advanced economies. Otherwise we have to do food gymnastics that will make us hate life.

I think most people eat way more meat than they are supposed to, and specially Americans. So I don’t think it’s an overpopulation problem, more than a culture/demand problem.

I personally have no problem with lab grown meat if it’s a more efficient and humane way of making protein that tastes as good or better than farmed meat. I also have no personal issues with eating meat the way it is now. I do try to get my shit from farms or ethically raised but that’s easier said than done. So I welcome any advances in food production.

I can't say I'm a black plague fan but it's not like there was nothing in-between those periods, though.
Of course not, but just an example to show that we’re at the peak of food safety.

Look up the book “The Jungle” on meat production in the not too distant past (early 20th century).

I don't think we're far from a point where we'll drink water (which will become rare) and have meds that will contain the nutrition values instead of regular meals. Like sci fi. But in the meantime we'll probably eat artificial everything.

I highly doubt we're overpopulated. We are not handling resources efficiently enough, though.

Depends by far I guess :D

And by part of the world. You can see it in the US with Midwest and west being more stringent. But here in the northeast, water is everywhere. It’s more likely we fuck up by over polluting it imo.

Oh it's exactly what I had in mind. I actually think we'll fuck that up quite soon. I mean, in plenty countries you don't have tap water. In some countries that's totally normal but I find it damn hard to digest. I don't think it will be many years when we all start buying water. Of course it will be more expensive too lol.
