That looks fantastic. What specific types of fish are common there?

I'm assuming that is some sort of persian basmati.
Fish is caught in the north and south of Iran, which borders the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, and the Sea of Oman, but the way it is cooked differs due to cultural and ethnic diversity. Fish from southern Iran such as Silver pomfret, Black pomfret, Pomadasys, Narrow-barred, redfish, and shrimp are very popular. Fish from northern Iran such as Caspian kutum, Trout، Common carp and Salmon have a special place in Iranian cuisine.
basmati Is an Indian rice. Rice dishes in Iran are cooked with Iranian rice.
