Today is the first time I boarded a plane post-COVID

All this talk about social distancing at the airport, all these precautions, only to cram everyone with no seat left to spare once in the plane.

It’s a bit of a joke isn’t it.

So I know this girl that lives in the US. She works as a teacher (art). Basically, I realized that she's not even earning much and from what I know it seems she always struggles with bills while expensive stuff is out of her reach.

Are all teachers paid equally or maths teacher earns more? Kinda surprised when I heard it. I always thought Americans earn quite a lot when it comes to majority of jobs with university degrees.

My bike broke down while I was riding it. :sergio:
Waiting for the tow truck.
Probably my last day as a motorcycle rider. :(
I'm gonna sell it for this transgression.

Lucky that you still have all your major organs then.

All US teachers are pretty much paid crap wages. But some are more crap than other ... like art vs math.

It depends on the state, years on the job, whether they work private or public school, etc.

This. And it can depend on the subject matter. Art teachers could be viewed as more commodity teachers than a STEM teacher who is valued as a focus requiring skillsets that are more greatly compensated on the open market than artists.

I know it's Florida.

And it's kinda crazy to see different wages if somebody has 5 years of experience and somebody has 2 but he's like ten times the teacher. It's stupid.
the school district is a big difference maker too. The richer the neighborhood, the more the teacher will make. It’s enough to live comfortably by yourself but not enough to raise a family and have the other partner be stay at home.

She lives on her own and as far as I know she struggles quite hard, that's why I ask because I was kinda surprised. Saying stuff like she can't afford paying for WoW which is like 14 dollars per month is kinda crazy.

a lot of states make teachers pay for supplies out of pocket. that can be quite a lot if you’re an art teacher. part of the reason we see so much sponsor a teacher stuff on social media
