I had heating in the office but I can't say it was warm. On the other hand, the people who work in the sale and some other department had literally nothing so they had to work in jackets. That's just horrible. So I won't complain much.

Btw, it's been 2 weeks since I started working. I gotta say that I learned tons, I'm really satisfied with the knowledge gathered so far. We'll see how it goes in the future but in my previous jobs my motivation disappeared once everything became a routine.

You gotta find comfort in that and hope that this routine in the long run will create more exciting opportunities, but even they become stall at one point. I will. But first I have to return my debt that got me into mining

It's crazy here when it comes to hardware. Gamers are cursing every single miner. Not only you can't find hardware but even if you find it you will see a shocking price. I used some of my connections and bought p104-100 which is brilliant for mining. I gave ~410e for it. After people saw how good it is, prices jumped to 800 euros after only 2 weeks literally. It's just crazy.

She thinks I'm weird for finding that weird. She says it's quite normal and she even likes it more when she's comfortable at what she does. Plus she doesn't like changes and when she's old(er) she finds it hard to settle in other companies.

She worked in one company for 25 years. Then they closed the company so she was unemplyed. That was very tough for her as she has a high school diploma (even though she worked a job with higher degree) plus she had no knowledge in English. Finding a job here for her for next to impossible, yet out of nowhere she got into some Swedish company and she works there for around 5 years now. Same job. She was hired because some people knew her from the ex-company, she was a good worker and she had tons of experience. But my moms friends from her ex company are still failing to find a job after 5 years. Talk about luck, eh...

However, many young folk wouldn't really agree with me.

But the gap between the generations is huge and kinda scary imo. I don't find myself (very) immature but way too often I see dialogs between the two parties end up horribly and no mutual agreement can be found. Older folks seem stuck in the past, can't digest new information as quickly and it's like talking with the wall. They are even more stubborn and won't even accept anything said by younger folk relying only on their experience from the past (which doesn't mean much nowadays).

Your experience. But besides the obvious of what educational background they have, I've experienced a tremendous change in women, when they are nearing 30. Altho their tits become saggy and their snatches slacky, they are a lot more insightful. With age comes wisdom

Tell me about it. Trying to stay interested while having conversation is getting harder and harder, I barely bother to try anymore.

tbh southern europe is worse off than we are up here. The youth gap is immense. Countries liek Spain, France, Portugal, Greece and the Balkans are losing an entire generation. It's so sad. I fear it'll create turmoil and increased populism [aswe have already seen]
