It depends on what you want to do, if you'd like to spend your life exploring a subject then the job prospects are good - plenty of room for dedicated researchers throughout the European (that's what I know of) Universities. I don't, so I went the NGO way

If you work hard to utilize the skills you get from Uni to get into another line of work then you can do just fine aswell. But that goes for any education I'm sure.
