Hey ho. Someone liek you supports dat, don't you?

- - - Updated - - -

I studied economics, but I quit that to become a teacher. From 1.000.000 a year to 300.000  Anywho. All about what you like to do.
Yeah thats all that matters. Reminds me of one of my closest friends, he quit his job in a major bank in middle of downtown London getting frankly ridicolous salary he didnt deserve  And quit becaus he hated every single second of his job and hence life past 3 years, and now is teaching kids music getting basically little to nothing while being happy as fvck lol. Its like the plot of some cliche rom com movie, but its true.

You are yet to answer me what you do until then..
I answered that question when you asked me like two years ago. Media Studies. But as you might know, that's not exactly where the jobs are at. :D So now I'm looking into also getting a minor that qualifies me for teaching at high school. Just for backup, at least.

Fucking hell you're a teacher too!!
Me, you and @Søren Krarup have to teach in the same building one day!!
Nah, Søren KRarup isn't a teacher. He is something we call a pedagog (pedagogy). Inshort: He lieks to touch kids :D

But I won't be teaching for long. Will probably get a master's degree in Social Relations.

:agree: Serbia and the region in general has it's fair share of problems. What's your take on turning the economy around and seeing Serbia increasing it's wealth and HDI?
Chances are close to zero IMO. What we've done to our country is beyond madness. The corruption we've had over the past is incredible and if some of the biggest news were translated you'd laugh for like a day seeing stuff how government paid for some machines that were working 25-26 hours per day -- yes -- it's not a typo. They basically stole everything that's out there. Our privatization went horribly wrong since every factory was sold for peanuts which later left employers fired. We currently have next to no-existing economy alive here, no factories, no nothing. Banks are, of course, destroying us with interest rates so starting some private job is basically impossible since we'd need 30% return to survive. Country is also in huge debt, hardly paying anything, just recently rumors appeared how we've entered recession (I feel like we were in it since I were born).

People are satisfied when they find a 300e job eventhough those people should earn at least 700 at the moment. It's a tough situation and I personally don't see anything changing any time soon. Life in Belgrade is or can be good if you're at 400e/month and such job obviously requires somebody to push you in, some strong connection -- which I obviously lack. At this point I'd accept 300e easily as long as it has something to do with economics or relatively close to it.

But that's the thing bro! A degree doesn't guarantee you a job, even less a good paying job. Look at @AFL_ITALIA, the brother's hurting and yet he graduated.
No need to tell me anything, I've graduaded 15 months ago.

Same shit man.

Yea, me neither I haven't even started teaching yet and I know it won't be for long. I've seen some of my ex-classmates that are teaching now, they look half dead all the time. You gotta be commited, and I doubt I got it in me.

Corruption. The downfall of every single economy.

My personal hope is that Serbia (and the rest of the region) goes thru a similar phase as Poland. But it's tough in Europe with Angela Merkel's stupid austerity policy :(

Milton Friedman, biggest shithole of economic thinkers since the coin was invented.

Fella made the right decision. Ain't no point in getting the green if your life sucks, especially if you can get enough money to live in a jab you actually enjoy as well.

I'm not necessarily becoming a teacher. I'm just studying something where the job opportunities are so bad that it would be stupid not getting the extra credits that allow me to teach. I wouldn't mind teaching though. Just not my dream. :D

All I need to hear is that RUS is gonna be a teacher and I will personally open the school and make sure we are all teaching in the same building.
