I know there are a lot of members from Toronto or London or Singapore or Bangalore or Sydney or Moscow on these forums. These are huge cities, much bigger than Copenhagen. And yet they never talk about this neighborhood or that as if they were entering a DMZ or an entirely different civilization.

If you're including metro areas instead of just regionalizing, which was the whole point of the debate, then NYC goes from 8.3M to around 20M+. What's your point?
You pulled out the wrong number, that's why I said something. 1,3m is the number and you claimed 660k.

And it makes no sense to speak of Copenhagen as a whole, because the different bridges are so different from each other.

Could it be that Copenhagen is just different in that regard?

Well, take it up with Google if you search "Copenhagen population" on a mobile.

Maybe not. I suspect that either Copenhagendazers think differently in that regard. Or maybe that's a more common mental orientation when culturally your nation and dominant language cover a much smaller geographic area.

The only reason I don't talk about hanging out in Indiranagar or meeting in friend in Jayanagar is because such level of detail is irrelevant to the folks here. But if I was talking to Asif, then I'd mention that cos he knows those places. So I'm with you here. I don't know why you'd need to mention your neighborhoods in a post not directed specifically to your fellow Danes. Cos for folks like us, that info is quite irrelevant.

This is not irrelevant:
