Should have thrown your text book at her as the class let out.
Im actually a fan of the danish way of doing things in class. The level is low enough to pick up even the slowest people, but you have lots of opportunities to sharpen your skills through private meetings and groups. But this was just too much, its basically the only thing we've learned in the methodology classes

It just shows the flaws of schools.

I need advice from the Tuz pooncouncil over here.

So my girl knows I need to get up at 7 am in the morning - she knows that because she checked three times earlier today to see if we could spend the night. Wasn't going to happen, I honestly can't do anything but fuck and talk when she is next to me in bed, I never sleep before 5 am when we spend the night. Mad about her.

So she's been out with an old friend, had a drink too many, and calls me up at 12 in the evening to see if she can come over, I diffuse the situation and go to bed. Then comes a text message "can you come out for a cigarette, I have something important to tell you". At this point I can do nothing but come out, as she is in front of my fucking apartment. I get down and it's fucking blabber about how they found eachother again. We talk, and then she sais "I think we both know I came here because I want to sleep in your bed".

Suddenly I need to feel shitty, but I stood my ground and told her that I'm going up to sleep and that if things are going to function for me I need to have her, my university, my friends and my alone time in a schedule where it all works out. We see eachother 3 times per week, so I can't really be blamed for neglecting her. I think I did the proper thing, even though it sucked to leave her out there - I needed to make a point tht this shit isn't going to fly in the future. Fairly certain that she is crying her eyes out right now and I feel like a piece of shit.

If she's your not your girlfriend then she can't really expect you to jump at her every beck and call. Especially since she has know about your circumstance for some time.

She is and I told her that I love her right back this weekend. She's got it all - I just can't deal with letting her in toninght and facing the same situation whenever she has a few drinks (which is often, since she is on her sabbathical year).

Well if she's your girlfriend then she should know better. But at the same time, being your girlfriend, she probably expects to spend time with you more than three times a week. Unless you meant "3 nights a week".

Either way, you're not in the wrong. So don't feel bad. She'll probably wake up hungover and feeling like an ass.

I mean three times per week as in we meet around 8pm, go for drinks, dinner (homecooked or out), hang out, have a bunch of sex, listen to music, have more sex, talk and then sleep together. And then for as long as either of us have time the next day.

That's what I figured. I've never been able to convince a lady that she's strictly my Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday girl.

Hm.

..

I just need to make this relationship function with my life - I don't mind being pragmatic, but I can't just cut out studying or catching the odd game of football with some friends. Personal and social self destruction is rarely the answer.

It's all about balance. I'm sure she has her own classes, friends etc. Eventually she'll blend in and things will feel normal instead of scheduled.
