I actually was going to say the same about the Norwegians. Yesterday, one of the waiters asked what she should do, cause two Swedes didn't want to pay, because we don't accept foreign credit cards. The two idiots said it was the restaurants problem and not theirs. We have a bank right next to the restaurant - go there fss. We only have a sign similiar to this on the front door:

It's always like that with Swedish people and a lot of Danes - they get offended, but we're not saying they can pay with those cards.
And that's only one annoying part about Scandinavians.
I know you feel, work in a restuarant, and defenitely most annoying costumers. Norwegians not so much maybe, but danes and swedes, bleh

He is right though. You tell at the register the paying methods, that should be enough.
We have issues with just Danish visas for some weird reason, tell them up front before they get served when it's technical difficulties like that. That and aussie card, because they bizzarely enough have 6 digit pws, go figure.

Dude, why? Dankort is the card most people use in this country - when stores accept other cards, they put up the signs.
As I said, this is a small town and you only survive if the local community puts money in your business all year around. The tourism in the summer is just a small part of the turnover.

I guess where we differ is that I think stores having Visa/Mastercard terminals is the rule and not the exception. At this point in time imo, people don't even think about the possibility of stores not having Visa/Mastercard terminals, and for that reason I think stores should have a sign if they don't have it.
