Lol what kind of friends do you have? besides the typical stingy one out of the bunch, most of my friends we kind compete on who's gonna buy who drinks/lunch etc Gets out of hand generous when they are wasted 
I generally dont like it so tell them off when they get too carried away (usually its new aquantancies/friends, old ones they know how to act around you at all times).

They're more drinking associates then anything else at this point.
Thats generally how most of my immigrant-swedes I know are like, the swedes on the other hand are super fucking stingy that keep count on every bought beer With few exceptions.

Yeah I know what you mean, most of my oldest friends are exactly like that, just that most I go out with nowdays are newer ones (only known for couple years or so etc), they are the ones who are like described.

You are like the swedes too? (or I shouldnt generalize, but its been main experience with most males swedes I know) Fucking hell, its so awkward and annoying to do that, you can reciprocate the gesture without actually mentionning it or keeping score lol, its more natural that way.

I mean whereas not many of my mates would buy me a meal or a drink out of kindness, they'd be there for me in a scrap or some other serious situation shall we say.
Goes without saying, everyone buys their round in turn, without fuss or muss and reciprocate the gesture evenly without mentionning it (only chicks get more then they give back around us ). The awkwardness is those few who nag or mention it too much And I barely know any high earners either btw, just blue collar or middle class ones (most of sweden classifies as later). I'm more annoyed with rich fuckers I used to go to school with, had no real sense or tact for value whatsoever in anything.
