I think it was on TMZ where I saw someone saying that rap and hip-hop today are as evolved as rock and roll was in the 1980s, and thus 2 Chainz is hip-hop's version of Warrant and other talentless hair-metal bands of the 80s. All self-parody and no substance.

Lupe used to be my favourite rapper from this era but he's been disapointing....sooo much promise in the late 2000's. He still dope though.

It's got soul, blues, ego-trip, great word-play,rhymes, content, flow, great delivery and above all hope. Real hip-hop.
