There's a certain social focus that pours out of that. The natural assumption for any forum is that discussion on one topic naturally spills over into areas like movies, music, etc.

You could try to make the argument that why not semi-naked women, etc. But the difference being that there are some posters here who aren't even 17 years old ... not to mention people who read stuff at work ... which doesn't become a problem for things like music, movies, or just shooting the crap with poop jokes.
